Kept seeing threads about this same issue - so thought I would post this here.

If you keep getting crash to desktop when trying to start MOHAA then please try the following link first :

http://afridi.pk/windows-7-medal-of-honor-allied-assault-crashes-to-the-desktop/

The above will provide you with the specific opengl32.dll to be placed in the main game directory - *Not the Main folder*

It Should be placed like so ( for example using my own file path ) :

"C:\Program Files (x86)\GOG Galaxy\Games\Medal of Honor - Allied Assault War Chest"

Then once the game is up and running I recommend following the instructions at this link to get it at the desired resolution.

http://www.moddb.com/games/medal-of-honor-allied-assault/tutorials/better-graphics-in-mohaa

Steps 1 -4 is all you need. This will also enable the console in game so you can use the handy / fun cheats included in the link below ( Console is usually linked to either the " ` " or " ~ " key. )

Thanks a bunch it works, but I did not had to install DX9 on my Win10 64bit, but this openGL DLL file did the trick.
Thanks a lot. I think GOG team should include this DLL to installation otherwise it's impossible to play the game without it on modern 64bit OS (WIn8, Win10).

Also I must add something, I can't play above 1280x1024 resolution, if I make to 1600x1200 (vanilla game) resolution then game crashes.
Also, if this happens guys then just go to MOHAA installation folder and run configure.exe (for other addons run configure_spearhead.exe or configure_breaktrough.exe) - this is gonna reset you configuration of the game and then you should make another one (just run the game again and go to options).
I didn't check this other resolutions but I will do that as well.

P.S -> I just made fullHD resolution for the game it works on 1920x1080 @ 32bits color, wow! Amazing! (I just edited configuration file as it was described on the 2nd link from moddb!)

P.S 2 -> Resolution fix works only for MAIN game, it doesn't work for expansions, expansions have max res of 1280x1024 as it seems.

Cheers & thanks a lot!

I can't remember so well but I would guess that the expansions have their own config files. So you will have to edit them. You will probably also have to run both expansions at least once.

Yes I agree the .dll or a warning should be placed in the package.

I found the solution on GOG's forum for having FULLHD resolutions with 'best' possible graphics, you need to put some of graph. options in autoexec.cfg file that game + all main expansion can run at FULLHD resolution.
Yesterday after 4-5 hours of finding exact solution I have managed to fix the problem.
Now main game + all expansions run at FULLHD.
Just I'll see if game is stable or not + MP works also, you just need to enter IP address of MP MOHAA server (via direct connect).
Problem is that vanilla GOG's game isn't working at all on Win10 64bit OS (at least on my system), so people must have workarounds otherwise they can't play the game at all.

Cheers.
This did not work for me. After I followed all the instructions, the game did not and still doesn't even start at all.
22NOV2020

I had the issue of the MOHAA playing the intro clip, then briefly displaying the War Room and crashing to the desktop. I had downloaded the GoG install files, tried many suggestions including downloading he OpenGL32.DLL file, to no avail.

After two days, I decided to install MOH War Chest using the GoG Galaxy tool (which I have avoided for years), but AA, Breakthrough, and Spearhead worked fine when launching them from their shortcuts, NOT the MOHAA Launcher.

Rig.
AMD Ryzen 5 1400 Quad-Core Processor 3200Mhz, 4 cores, 4 threads (8 logical processors)
48GB RAM
Radeon RX 5700 XT with 8Gb VRAM
..yes, I upgraded RAM and video card because of MS FS2020 instead of buying a $3,500 gaming rig, but that is another story.
