In the US version all references to Donald Duck were removed for some reason.

Is this game based on the US or EU version?

Assuming the title on the store page is accurate, this is the US version. It's labeled Maui Mallard in Cold Shadow, as opposed to Donald Duck in Maui Mallard.

Just bought the game, it's indeed the US version.

it could also have been called Donald Duck in Cold Shadow which is what it's called in the Disney Classic Video Games 2 collection version, just thought i'd bring it up since i still don't get why it's called that in that version

The PC game was exactly the same at Europe and America. It even was sold in Europe with the american title name. I still have it advertised on my Toy Story PC box
