Hey I just bought this game and the game keeps crashing when the music starts to play for me on game launch anyone know a fix for this?

Im rocking windows 7 gtx 970 with latest drivers. I've asked support but they told me it could be my drivers which I dont think its the issue for a game from 1996.

Didn't work for me.

Windows 7 SP1 Home Premium x64

So I decided to test and see if this game will work outside of Windows 7 by using Linux on my second hard drive and use PlayonLinux with Wine 4.11 staging build.
Other than the music not playing and the game not going full screen, surely enough, the game works.

I suspect that this game may have compatibility issues with Windows 7 (and maybe Vista). I really don't want to have to upgrade to Windows 8.1, but if that OS and Windows 10 can get this game to work properly, then that would confirm my theory that Maui Mallard just doesn't work on 7.

I might have to get my friend to test this game on his Windows 10 laptop to test my theory.
