Ever wondered what purpose the DLC button has in the bottom left hand corner of the main menu?
Click it and you'll get a "No connection" message.
Just as with Warlock 1/2 - another Paradox/Ino-Co 4X game set in Ardania - which features exclusive spells/units if you own the correct edition i.e. Great Mage Edition.
Majesty 2 once had DLC packs available for purchase.
Some extra character classes were unlocked (Assassin, Ice Mages), new Spell(s) plus the Blacksmith has another tier of upgrades available.
This isn't to be confused with the three expansions already present in the installer.
An online check was/is present in the game to presumably check for the ownership of the said items.
This server is no longer online making these items inaccessible ='(

The editing of your profile doesn't appear to be required with the GOG version - those changes are already made when a new profile is created.
It'd be nice if GOG could include this somehow...the game is missing content otherwise.
