I wish to buy and install it through GOG Galaxy but I'm too sensitive about my privacy. I don't want my friends tracking which I installed this kind of game and my hours played.

I think GOG don't manage this kind of content very well yet.
Store filters would be a good addition along with some privacy features around adult content.
Without this kind of thing, consumers like me tend not to buy the game.

If any GOG representative read about this, I would be very pleased if you pass the word along.

I usually use a burner account for times like that. Not the most eloquent solution but would work. I agree it would be a nice feature built in. Why do you wish to use Galaxy over a manual download if I may ask ? That would solve the issue as well, to not use Galaxy.

I tried this with a game some time ago. No problem installing and playing the game, but still tracks your activities in GOG Galaxy unless you completely uninstall it.

I like GOG Galaxy to help me manage my game installations and I have no complains about it in this point. I think is the first time I have a real issue with it.
In Galaxy you can disable time tracking.
But I think it remembers when you last played the game, you have to test that.

In games without achievements you can delete all galaxy dlls from the game directory.

What you can try as alternative is to make a copy of the installation directory, remove gog glls and webcache from that directory and add this directory manually to Galaxy as an alternative to the GOG copy. This would not show up in your GOG profile, since technically you are not playing a GOG game.

... or just play without Galaxy from the start.

About privacy filters ... why does it always have to be about "adult"? Would it not be more useful, to hide any specific game from the profile? This way everyone can decide for himself and there would be no debate about what should be affected and what not.

Same feature, different purposes. It's just strange this thing is not present in the application yet. I'm sure this is not the first case its applicable.

I mean Galaxy should had filters not only over your game tracking but the store front too. I'm adult without childrens but this could not be the case.

Not quite. The one is a category filter, the other a filter by product ID.

The store front does not show anything explicit btw, not even the preview pics do.
You only see something explicit when you buy the game and to reach the page with the game you already have to go past a disclaimer. Does Steam have such a filter for the store front?

If we want to protect children, we should start to protect them from violence however.
If you are concerned about them seeing a pretty girl on the front page (or a guy for that matter. And no, not all have oversized boobs, these I don't find pretty at all), then zombies, monsters, robbers and soldiers should be a problem too.

Here on the forum it's quite pointless.

I'm afraid I don't have much to add in terms of helping, but this is something I never thought of before. I own and play a lot of Eroge/Hentai/Adult games and since I don't have any friends and my family doesn't really play games or have any desire to know what i'm doing ever then I don't even think about privacy filters.

Just one of those cases where something that might not be important to a lot people is extremely important to some. I hope GOG fixes this issue for you down the line. While I don't think anyone should be embarrassed about playing the games they love regardless of the content I do think being in FULL control of your privacy and settings should be a bare minimum feature.

Good luck though. :)
