I downloaded the game but when I try to play it says Can't load "gfx/rainbump.gfx" what does that mean? Do I have to ask for my money back?

Last time I had a problem with another game, a lady answer me and she was very rude. I hope I don't have to do that. Help me please! Thanks

Does this error still happen after you've installed DirectX 9?

Try running the game as Admininstrator (right-click the game's shortcut => Run as..).

I downloaded DirectX and it does appear in my programs but not when I look in the already installen programs. The message can't load gfx/rainbump.gfx appears again. Don't know if Avast virus protector is blocking it.

If you've downloaded DirectX from the link I posted and started the file, it should be installed. It's normal that it doesn't appear as a program, nor can you uninstall it. DirectX isn't a classic program, but rather a bundle of additional components for your Windows.

Also try updating your graphics drivers, just to be on the safe side there.

The game doesn't start at all? No error message of any kind?

No worries. We have to figure out what graphics card you have and then download the right driver from the manufacturer.

Press the Windows-Key and "R" on your keyboard. A little text field lets you enter the program you want tor run.
- Type dxdiag and press Enter
- DirectX diagnostics should pop up
- Go to the "Display" tab and you'll find all details about your graphics card.

If the manufacturer is NVIDIA you#ll find current drivers here:
http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us
You'll have to detail what you want before downloading (Windows version, exact graphic cards series etc.)

If the manufacturer is AMD or ATi go here:
http://support.amd.com/en-us/download

I went toATI Manufacter and there is a serie of questions
1. Select type of system
2. Select the product family your pdoduct belongs to
3. Select your Product
4. Select the supported operating System that you have

Do I have to answer this questions or just download where it says download?
Thanks so much, sorry for being so ingnorant, but I want this to work!

Another question. I uninstalled the game. I am going to download it again. When It is don they ask me (save as text documents (*txt) Should I do it?

AMD autodetect says I have the lates version?

Yes, but when the AMD autodetect successfully ran and said that you're up-to-date, then you probably don't need to install it manually. Though it doesn't hurt either.

Something's wrong there. You're maybe trying to download the wrong file (e.g. the website).
I've added a screenshot of the gameshelf.
- Set the GOG.com Downloader mode to off (see screenshot, upper right corner)
- Now click with the left mouse button on "Windows installer, English (part 1 of 3)"
- If you're asked, choose to save the file
- If you're asked for a location, choose the Desktop
- When the first part has finished downloading, click the next and save it in the same location (e.g. the desktop)
- When you've downloaded all 4 files, double-click on "setup_lucius_2.0.0.7" to start the installation
- After installing the game, double-click on "patch_lucius_2.0.1.8" to install the Universal update

And disable Avast virus protector while installing and running the game! Avast is known for causing troubles with running games from time to time.

I did what you told me. Try to save it in desktop but it says this file could not be located in the installer folder. make sure the file is in the correct folder.

I think, but not sure Gog games was saved in my computer not in my desktop!

ledna42: I did what you told me. Try to save it in desktop but it says this file could not be located in the installer folder. make sure the file is in the correct folder.
This message comes when:
A) The three files aren't saved in the same location
B) At least one file hasn't finished downloading yet
C) One or more files were renamed during download (browsers do this sometimes)
The correct file names are:
setup_lucius_2.0.0.7.exe
setup_lucius_2.0.0.7-1.bin
setup_lucius_2.0.0.7-2.bin

Any difference results in your error.
It could be that you don't see the file extensions (".exe" and ".bin") as they're hidden in Windows by default.
Here's how to make them appear: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/show-hide-file-name-extensions

The good thing about GOG is, that if you've got problems downloading the files manually, there's still the GOG downloader. Click the link and install it. This program can download and install the game for you.

I did what you told me to do. I am dowloading one by one. When I am done. Do I open One by one to play? Or just use the shortcut?
I have a lot of setups. For example wetup_lucius_2.0.0.7. exe 4,5,6, and go on. Can I erase them?

Yes, delete all but
setup_lucius_2.0.0.7.exe
setup_lucius_2.0.0.7-1.bin
setup_lucius_2.0.0.7-2.bin
Installation starts by right-clicking setup_lucius_2.0.0.7.exe and selecting "Run as Administrator" from the context menu.

Think about contacting support because of the "gfx/rainbump.gfx" error. If they can't help you there's still the 30 Day Money Back Guarantee.

You might also want to ask someone you know, who has got some experience with computers to help you at home. Some things just take a few clicks, but it takes ages to explain via the forum. And please don't hesitate to ask here if there's any further question or if you want to give it another try. We're all happy to help.

I just finished Agatha Cristy The ABC murders and I really enjoyed this game. Have to change my computer resolution though. Do you know a game similar to this one? Thanks you in advance!!!!
