First off I love this game and I love gog but why the fuck did gog deided not to eneble people who legitinatly bought this game to play multiplayer. Does anyone know a work around to this. Please help.
Instead of flaming aimlessly, take a look at the bottom of the main menu, where it says "Single Player Mode". Click on that and you get a window for the multiplayer mode that is TCP/IP- and LAN-based.

I read that and i also read the notice that multiplayer was not available before I bought the game. what I was flaming about as you say is that what is the reason for this. it is stupid decision making from gog. why would they cut the multiplayer off, that is just stupid.

They slapped that to the descriptions of all games that were on the list of GameSpy-powered titles in terms of multiplayer. The Locomotion box art showed the "Powered By GameSpy" logo on the back, even though there was no master server and it didn't appear in the list of their supported titles. Also, Glu Mobile was the last owner of GameSpy Technologies and they shut them down on May 31st, 2014 for being "unprofitable", nothing GOG was related to.

From a quick Google search, nobody complained on any lack of multiplayer, which means it wasn't ever cut and the note on the GOG product page is wrong.
See my other post for a fix for multiplayer:

https://www.gog.com/forum/locomotion_chris_sawyers/fix_for_duplicate_cd_keys_found_when_starting_multiplayer

Although not in the description of the game on the store page, the multiplayer option works just fine and with the fix above even with two GOG copies.

i have tested its multiplayer and it works perfectly. the trick is to leave the ip field blank when connecting to the host. i also had ip version 6 disabled on one of my pc if that matters. i had to let it through the fire wall.
