Huh. I guess the engine was only a stone's throw after all.

Maybe this will finally make it playable.

As far as that's concerned, the game does have a pause button at the bottom right, albeit one that doesn't allow building.

OpenLoco fixed my game, now its not crashing anymore and runs much better.
