Hi,

I just encountered this problem in BiA.
I had posted in general discussion 'cause the forum search engine turned out nothing.

Anyway, anyone managed to fix this problem yet?
Btw, my game crashes consistently during the Intro movie, the part where the big bird comes and fries Gregor. And when I try to quit. Are the two errors related?

When you say you just encountered this problem, is this with the latest download? There was another problem with the Conservatory in Chapter 4, which was fixed and the current download is patched with the fix. I'm not sure if that patch also fixed our missing temple problem. Supposedly, the problems are experienced by relatively few players (compared to the number that play the game), and are triggered by certain choices the player makes (no indication as to what choices to avoid). I sent a PM (asking if the fix also fixes the missing temple) to the guy from GOG who was telling them over in the other thread about the fix.

The current download is something like 1.2GB, if your copy is less than that, you probably still have the old version without the fix.

dono about the conservatory, but i did a redownload about 1 weel ago and reinstalled it, and did a new restart of the game, the temple of henne near ligano was still unreachable, this is a old known bug, i dont know if GoG team have put on a new version of BiA?? if not they really should
The latest build update got rid of game-breaking bugs, like Chapter 4 crash. Temple issue was not addressed.

The temporary workaround for it can be found here

thankx for this workaround :P even if it does feel like a cheat :)
This is awesome! =)

I haven't actually gotten around to trying the workaround yet,
(Got engrossed in BaK.)
But I can't wait to try.
(Luckily I still have my old save in Ligano.)
please fix the missing temple or fix the path to the temple...whatever it takes...this is so frustrating

There working on it, they don't have access to the source code so obviously it's going to take sometime to find a working solution to the issue that wont cause the game to no longer run on modern OS's. Look they managed to fix Dungeon Keeper 2 after a year or so and managed to fix the chapter 4 crash and they got to a point where they have a work around, much like they did for DK2 before the full fix was released. So be patient people need to start understanding there not magicians that can wave a wand or snap their fingers and magically fix a old game. Seriously even most fan fixes take years to produce.
im trying to run this on mac and cannot access the files to use the workaround, does anyone know how to access these files in wineskin?

Not exactly sure, but you will need to "Open Package Contents", or is it "Show", on the .app. Possibly a second time once inside the first package.

Recently I started playing Betrayal in Antara and unfortunately this bug is still present in the game downloaded last week. I did use Thiev's suggested workaround and that worked quite fine though there were no enemies in the cave behind the field and the farmer said nothing upon my coming back so it looks like the quest is still bugged and unfinishable.

I think I know why this game is sold in a double pack with Betrayal at Krondor - I probably would never have bought it on its own. Still, I'd like to get my money's worth and would like to play stuff that's decently patched. Could you GOG guys do something about this please?

Also, I've had another bug with the game crashing during the cut-scene that opens Chapter 2; does anyone know what I can do to fix this or if there are going to be any more bugs like it?

The enemies are supposed to appear in chapter 2, otherwise the fix works great. Sure its not very clean, but its for one quest hardly an inconvenience that should drive people away from the game.

I had this issue with the intro I restarted the game and the issue didn't continued. If that persist, I'd recommend you hit escape when it starts and watch the movie on youtube, the game is oddly alt-tab friendly.
