It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

Hello, just bought this but were not able to play it. It just resizes my screen resolution and closes down. What to do?

I have the same OS version and I am having the same issue. It resizes my screen but nothing comes up (I left it like that for 20-30 minutes). If I close the process KoDP.exe in task manager then the screen resolution switches back to normal.
- did you run the game as administrator ?
- do you have any additional applications running in the background?

I restarted and closed down a bunch of things and now it runs ok. I'll reply here if the game stops working again so we can maybe link it to a specific conflicting program.
Having the same problem but with Vista. I've closed all other applications and tried running it as an administrator. Still wont work.
Same problem, tried it fresh off a reboot and still can't get it.
I use Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit Edition and the game runs without incident on a limited user account. The only compatibility setting I used was "Force 640x480 resolution".

Where did you install the game to? If you installed it in your Program Files (x86) directory, that might be the reason. So trying to install the game in a location like "C:\games\KoDP\" might resolve the issue.
I tried installing it in a different directory but it still doesn't run

It will be easier if we knew your PC configuration. Could you open Support ticket with DxDiag attached?

Same problem as the people above, all I get is a resizing of my desktop then nothing, and ending the KoDP process on Task Manager brings it all back to normal again.

Tried putting it in a different directory, have nothing else running, rebooted, all the compatibility settings, still not going.

Please follow the link above. We haven't run into such problems, so it will be helpful to see if there is anything in common between your PCs.
I have the same problem. Report and Dxdiag file sent.
Are you by any chance using Comodo Firewall? If you are, try adding the KoDP installation directory into its list of trusted files through the Defence+ tab.
Had the same problem. Got it to run finally.

For my system, the problem was 'KhalScroll.exe' process which is a logitech browser plug in for better mouse control (ScrollApp). Killed the process in Task Manager, and the game now loads and plays fine.
