I'm finding items like weapons and armor to be way to cheap to buy. I'm making roughly 100k an hour just killing animals, so when I buy a high-end high-grade or specialist armor or weapon, I don't feel as if I've truly earned it. I mean it only takes 10-15 minutes to kit out a new recruit in BIS high-grade or better armor/weapons. I feel this is really hurting the longevity of my game.

How would I go about editing the files to make items more expensive ? And is it possible just to alter the merchant sale prices and not the base item price ?

Update: Well I've managed to find the armor vendor and the armor items where I could potentially increase the cost of items, but this wouldn't help as I would be making more money from selling them too. Can't find where the price markup value is though..

Update 2: So I found the buy multiplier for each vendor, but it doesn't really help much since that value is both for buying and selling. I can't seem to work out how to add a string value just for sell multiplier.

Update 3: Okay so I just realized that I can make all the multiplier edits to all Armor/Weapons shops and just sell all my gear at other vendors for normal prices.

Thank you me for figuring that out lol.

I played around with it a bit and doubled the value of all weapons (soon armor and other gear) then changed the global loot price multiplier for gear, armor, and weapons by half, thus doubling all buy costs while keeping sell prices at/near the original.

Hmm, I'm too tired to make sense of that right now. I might try that when I'm fresh. Initially, when I increased the base item price it didn't do anything. By global multi do you mean editing the multi value for a specific shop ? Because I noticed that it effects all shops of that kind and faction. Thanks for the reply. I think you and I are the only one's on this forum lol.
How did you go about increasing the value of all weapons ? Do you have to edit each individual item or is there a setting in Global constraints ?

I am seeing only price multipliers in Global and nothing that governs value. At the very least I can negate profit margins by lowering (loot-price-multi) and (loot-price-mult-GEAR)

When I increased the value of an armor item by 300% it didn't seem to register in-game. I checked the vendor lists to make sure the value changed and it did, but I don't think it made any difference.

Currently I have all armor, weapons and travel shops using a price mult of 2. So 100% markup for both sell and buy. I achieved this by using Town specific edits, not the global constraints., which I guess is not the proper way.

I had to go through and edit the value of each individual item. I then changed the global multiplier for selling items to half of the default value.

If you go to my profile I left a link to 2 simple mods I made, look for "modded_gear_value", open it up in FCS and take a look at "Changes" & "Global game settings" to see all that I have done.

Hey, thanks for sharing your mod. I am boggled because I did the exact same thing as you except the price does not change in-game.

The only thing I can think of is that it only affects the value of items in the traders inventory. I'm going to try again lol.

That is very odd. Try testing your and/or my mod without any other player made mods loaded. Maybe another mod is interfering with yours.

Yeah, I just checked it and double-checked it. Still not working.

I even checked other mods but they don't even touch the items I'm editing. I have my mod loaded at the bottom of the list, I hope that's correct.

What is very strange is that the mult edits I made to Town/faction specific traders is working from the same file. I will try to load yours and see what happens.
I loaded your mod but the value still does not change. The only thing that changes is the (loot-price-mult-GEAR) disparity between your mod and mine.

For clarity, the price of Armorred rag skirt in my mod 5,900 and sell of 1,180. Yours is 5,900 with a sell price of 737 due to the loot-price mult.

It doesn't matter if I set the value to 200-300 or 7,000 the value of items does not change...

I wonder if it is the town/faction edits that might be causing the issues. Also when making/opening a mod for editing, make sure only "Sho-Battai walls.mod" & "Newworld Plus.mod" are checked in the lower panel. If other mods are checked, their changes are shown in the opened active mod but not highlighted causing them to look as though they are the default values.

I sent you a PM via the GoG chat thingy.

When I created the mod and my other mods, I just had everything checked as I thought they could be depenencies.
