Wish they would release the alpha though so people could see what once was, and is now Gears of War

I tried hard to get Jazz2Online working but now its here i dont have to bother, you think they will finish the game and release it?

Surprisingly the 3d version was quite rock hard solid stable, but alas we got Bubsy 3d which kind of killed 3d platformers, unless if you count FEZ as a 3D platformer, maybe 2.5D, I wonder why 3D Platformers arent popular? Hey if this re-release does well maybe we might see a Jazz Jackrabbit 3 using Unreal Engine 4 on the Epic Games Launcher!

What do you mean 3d platformers aren't popular? Super Mario Whatever on each new Nintendo console hits bestsellers lists all the time, and on other platforms you have Devil May Cry, Lords of Shadow and similar games which are in basis a 3d platformer.

Of course they won't be able to rival the currently dominant genre of fps shooters, but that can also be said about all other genres which fell from the spotlight in the last decade.

IMHO 3d platformers are in an ok condition, and Yooka Laylee shows that they can pop up from time to time :-)

It was leaked, it can be found very easily Bubsy 3D was released very early in 3D platformers. Long after it we had games like Spyro the Dragon, Jak and Daxter and Ratchet and Clank. Fez was a decade after these games.

In terms of releasing the source code it's more likely that someone would try to remake Jazz 3D as an Unreal Gold mod.

Tim Sweeny has shown interest in releasing the Unreal 1 engine source code but that hasn't happened yet.

I remember when in 2007 I found torrent file of Jazz Jackrabbit 3 alpha demo in torrenty.org for a first time.Maybe in future Epic Games will make Jazz Jackrabbit 2 sequel with graphics visuals like Dean Dodrill's second indie game Never Stop Sneakin' even Mario 64 is playable in Super Mario Odyssey or unlockable I dunno I didn't play this game on Nintendo Switch.Maybe Epic Games don't care about new Jazz Jackrabbit installment maybe they prefer making Unreal 4 as pc game.I played Unreal Tournament 4 this pc game is still unfinished because the most of skins are locked not unlockable.It seems they're busy with Cloudgine technology.Maybe they can't count to 3 like Valve Software?I regret one thing why epic games didn't launch at least one trailer of jazz jackrabbit 3 just like 3d realms did with duke nukem forever in 1998 even ign made trailer of mother 3 in late 90's I know YouTube didn't exist,yet,but game trailers were launched on tv back then this jj3 alpha demo was leaked just like half-life 2 beta somehow.

Well there are also Jazz224 and Jazz400 Calypso way much earlier leaked builds of Jazz Jackrabbit 3D.
