Heya,

back at release I loved playing that game. I wanted to play this game so heavily that I still remember my local vendor's phone number. As you know back then internet wasn't that widely spread and you had to ask the retailer for the release date.
Now I got some questions about the version found on gog.

1. When I played DG back then it was the German original release version. And it used to crash a lot. Like when you moved your characters while an explosion was going on. Was this fixed with any patch? What version can we get on gog? Was there anything else added? Like this "abdundance of weapons" which is mentioned on gog? (the game I remember had like 2 knives, 2 chainsaws, 2 revolvers, 2 semi automatics, 2 rifles, and 2 MGs, and most of them you could mod, but this isn't exactly an "abdundance").

2. Back then JA DG had like 30 missions or so, really not many. With the easy to use editor we like tripled the amount of maps. How many maps does this version provide? Is there any site where you can get additional (and high quality) missions?

3. I assume that this game runs in DOS-Box. How hard is it to set up a multiplayer game with a friend with the help of Hamachi or something similar? Any source with detailed instructions?

Unsure about the crashing, but the GOG version should be patched to the latest official one. I think (hope?) that it should be crash free, but as always, your mileage may vary. No idea about the weapons, but GOG is selling the vanilla version, so any guide that lists the weapons should be valid.

For anything JA related, browse Kermi's repository. If you find something that isn't already there, send me a PM with a link and I'll forward it to Kermi.

As with most DOSBox network games, there should be 2 additional shortcuts in the start menu, one saying "Start HOST Game" and the other "Join Game" (or something like that). They should initialize the IPX on DOSBox, thus only needing proper port forwarding and IP addresses, which I think Hamachi takes care of automatically.
