This game just appeared on my shelf a couple of years ago (IIRC it was some sort of freebie at the time) but it includes NO MANUAL.

I've started the game up like 6 times and have NO CLUE what I'm doing, what the heck is going on, I mean this is nuts.

And I just checked again and there is STILL no manual.

Did this game not have a manual?? Did the publisher think everyone already knew how to play Deadly Alliance games?

If GOG deemed it a nice freebie for us then dang it I'd sure like to get in there and see what it's all about, but I simply get too frustrated when I don't even have a CLUE about controls, keys, what the heck at all is going on.

No one else had this problem?

Thank you. "Mostly" the same. That's miles better than what I was, thank you. Still, I'll wonder what little trick or tidy bit of info I'm missing.

I read the read me file, and it mentions a manual. So there is such a thing as a Jagged Alliance Deadly Games Manual. Anyone know why it appears impossible to find or why GOG would not include it with the game the way they did all their others?

ADDED WITH EDIT: Ugh, I forgot again to mark this as a question, so I wasn't able to mark yours a solution (and you get the rep points). So I plus oned your post but technically I think you get 5 rep points for answering questions. I'm sorry I forgot to do that. Don't know if you care about rep points but you DID help me, a LOT. So you should've gotten them. Sorry.

Glad I could be of assistance. ;)

I did a quick google search and I couldn't find a manual for "Deadly Alliance".
Maybe there is one but is hard to find.
My guess is you aren't missing anything really important. It has been ages since the last I've played but, If I remember correcly, the expansion only adds missions and stuff. If you know how to play the base game (based on the base game manual) you will do fine in Deadly Games.
