So, I've got me a new and advanced Patcom, from the MCA in act 2,
but the darn thing keeps overheating to the point that after 3 shots it won't fire
cuz the weapon systems are offline

I've installed the sealed heat-sink with a coolant pod,
reduced the amount of weapons, but it's still unusable...

what am I missing???

Yup, just stick with the regular heat sink.

If you're in a fight where you don't expect to be hit much, you can adjust the power-triangle (Eng menu) to give you more juice for the weapons and less for the shields and/or engines. This will bump up your weapon power reserve, mak each shot more powerful (with better range), and increase the firing speed.

yea, agree, use best heat sink possible except on missions like the dante scouting mission, but then you only use the comsec anyways.
