The Homeworld Remastered Players Patch resolves many bugs, exploits, and balance issues. It works with Gearbox's 2.1/2.303 Patches, and includes hundreds of additional improvements. It enhances singleplayer and multiplayer while respecting the look, sound, and feel of Relic's classics. Notably it fixes the 666 Formation Bug, the Cross Race Docking Bug, and is authored by the players who helped Gearbox balance Homeworld Remastered. It also features additional gameplay options including a campaign difficulty adjuster, user interface/camera adjusters, dual command mode, observer mode, vast unit caps, and much more.

This is being released by the community for the players and fans. Credits: Gearbox, Cloaked, Fear, Trebic, NoOne, Echo, Stuart, QuadS, Kadeshi, and all the other contributors, testers, and players providing feedback. Links:

Maybe I missed it or maybe it wasn't there. Has anything been done about ships in Remastered coming out of their jump in one strait line, making you more or less defenseless in later missions?

From the change list: "In Homeworld 1, updated the parade formations to better handle salvaged ships."

Previously all salvaged ships formed one long line. There is now a separate line for each type of ship that can be salvaged in the campaign. NoOne worked on that fix, but I think the best we can do is one line for each ship class. So if you've got 20 ion frigates, they will still form a long line.

Thanks

I'll live. :D
Sorry, I'm confused as to how to install the 2.3 player patch with the GOG version (manual download, not Galaxy). The readme with the patch says to drop the file here: C:\Program Files (x86)\GalaxyClient\Games\Homeworld Remastered\HomeworldRM\DATAWORKSHOPMODS\2.3PlayersPatch.big

That folder doesn't exist in the GOG install. In HomeworldRM, there is Data, DataHW1Campaign, DataHW2Campaign, and DataUpdates. Do I place the .big patch file in one of these folders, or do I need to create a mod folder?
@The_Atomik_Punk - You'll need to create the "DATAWORKSHOPMODS" folder if you don't already have one. We'll include this in the instructions when the next update is released. :)

Ok, I made the folder and placed the .big in it,, but I'm having trouble getting the shortcuts included to work. My path of installation is:

C:\GOG Games\Homeworld Remastered\HomeworldRM\DATAWORKSHOPMODS

So, what would I have to modify in the shortcut, the target and/or the start in field? What would I fill in, and where should I place the shortcuts?
Looks like you've got a custom installation path, so you'll need to do a bit more work. From the instructions "If your installation path is different, be sure to edit the shortcuts as needed." Just right click on each shortcut, and chose properties. Change the 'Target' and 'Start in' to your custom installation path. You can then place the shortcuts on your desktop, or where ever you like. When your done, your multiplayer shortcut should look like this.
Target: "C:\GOG Games\Homeworld Remastered\HomeworldRM\Bin\Release\HomeworldRM.exe" -workshopmod 2.3PlayersPatch.big
Start In: "C:\GOG Games\Homeworld Remastered\HomeworldRM\Bin\Release"

Five months in the making, we've just released a major update on Steam and GOG. Huge thanks to Fear and Echo for all their work, and Sastrei for the observer mode!

Details on all the enhancements are here.
We just finished another update, change notes are here. Be sure to grab this version to resolve the HW1 Mission 13 problem.

Thanks to you and all the contributors :)
How would I go about launching this from the Galaxy client so I can track my progress?
Thanks guys!

@krasno_arg89 - Unfortunately the GOG Library command line arguments do not work for HWR. So HWR mods/patches can only be launched from direct shortcuts.
