I just bought the game. Playing nearly everything on keyboard and mouse I was hoping to rebind my mouse buttons as well (I have a 5 button mouse so most of the keys could be used with it). Unfortunately the game does not accept any mouse binding. Is it planned to change this?

I would not recommend autohotkey since it has to be installed. I prefer to use GlovePie to achieve the same (it does not need to be installed and simply runs a script in the background - it's also easy to use). But one should not need to use third party software at all to do this won't you agree? There is no reason why the game is not accepting key buttons as rebinds. I am sure it would be easy to add this. Hence the question/request.

It's been asked a few times but the answer is most likely no, at least in any close future.
May be as a backburner after all content is out OR with some of the content packs.

P.S. I'm not a developer. I just keep up to date with HK stuff.

Ah, I see. See how much you do for them so people are thinking you are a dev/piblisher. Thank you for your reply anyway. Even though I am a bit disappointed and actually surprised how such an easy to implement and for many people useful feature could be put on the "maybe" list. But that is something I would have to ask the devs and since you are not one of them I highly doubt that you could answer this question as well. Luckily there are rebinding tools like GlovePie and autokotkey on the market but the devs should be aware that it always leaves a sour taste if I have to use one of those just because the devs would not implement such BASIC feature. So of course this will influence my review I am about to write when I've finished the game.

They are just 2 guys and they have a LOT of work still with Hornet DLC, free content packs, Switch and PS4 release and so on so they rather do the important stuff first. It may be easy but clearly not a big issue so they can put it in backlog.

Ah, o.k. - I did not even know they were such a small team. Then it's understandable. In fact if this is the work of only 2 people it is amazing what they did so far. Still hoping that it's just on the waiting list for when they have a bit more time to breath. Again thank you for your information.

Even with three people it is an amazing work. It's astonishing how much they cared about the details.

Much better than "Hungry Knight".
