handybudd: i installed the update but it said
"This patch does not support your version of the game please download a new installer" ??

(my homm3 installer file is setup_homm3_complete_2.0.0.15.exe)

Ghorpm: I had this problem too. You have to download the newest installer (setup_homm3_complete_2.0.0.16) and then apply the patch. So it's not really universal patch ;)
yup it worked.. thx Ghorpm.. :)
I am very happy that GOG is still working on the game but the most troublesome, annoying issue is still running Heroes 3 on systems with multi-core processors. I know there is a piece of software that can be used to fix this issue but there are no real instructions for doing so and trying to figure out how to do so is such a pain that I think most of us just play with the sound off to avoid the crashes (the crash occurs on systems with multi-core or hyper-threaded processors if the sound or music is not turned completely off in the settings).

I received no reports on that, so contacting our Support and describing the issue would be most helpful.
Unless you are referring to setting the game to run with single-core affinity, which v2 installers already do.

I believe that's the issue. Thanks for doing this in the installer, it was a pain to do by hand.
Is there a proper changelog for this stuff so we can be better informed?

Ah...my installer was out of date. Did not realize until trying to check the patch. Thanks for fixing this. Gog rules!

Is that issue dealt with on Heroes Chronicles as well?

Artki: Is that issue dealt with on Heroes Chronicles as well?
I checked and apparently not. It will be added in next build, which I hope will be out shortly.
In the Shadow of Death, Sandro: Rise of Necromancer campaign, there's this bug where the heroes are reset. Is it fix now or will it be fixed later? Many thanks :)
I noticed that the installation file I currently have is
setup_homm_3_complete_1.0.1.14.exe

Should I delete it and download 2.0.6, or is there any reason to keep this old version, too?
Anyone?

gscotti: Anyone?
I would download the latest installer so that you can make use of the patch as it won't work on the older version.

I get that, thank you. The other thin I was curious about is, is there any advantage to keeping the old installer, just in case - i.e. did the new installer break anything?

Somebody sent me a PM telling me that they have installed with the 2.x installer and played HoMM 3 for several days, and it's safe. So, I am not keeping the 1.x installer.

For some reason I cannot download HOMM3, HOMM2, Might & Magic 6 and Might & Magic 7 from my games account. This has never happened before. What is going on?
I cannot use new patch, because I have version 2.0.0.15

EDIT: Ok, it is fixed now.

So apparently patch is removed from download. Question is: on purpose or not.
Installer version is 2.0.0.16 as it was before, patch was updating it to 2.0.1.17.
