Hi!

I just bought Heretic Kingdoms and I installed on Linux Mint 13 with Play On Linux (last version) manually. During installation an error appears, but installation continues and yields that it's been installed properly. The error says that sdbinst.exe was not found.

I had to install gdiplus and mfc42 librares in order to launch the game properly. The game starts, menu works well. I can even create a character. But then, once I'm in the game, life and mana bars don't show, nether do the weapon hotkeys. Finally game crashea when clicking on the dialog box.

Anyone has tried and got working properly this game on linux? Your help would be very much apreciated.

PD: sorry for my bad english.
Hi!

Do you found any fix for your issue? I have exactly the same problem, except i dont need to install gdiplus, but only mfc42.
And my game runs fine, until i first time hit in dialog box 'Click here to continue'... then game freeze.

I tested various wine versions, from 1.2 to 1.7, but none of them works.
Tried several hours to get this fixed, but no luck so far. There is a workaround though: Don't click on any options in the dialogue boxes, ever. Use the space-bar and number keys instead. Works just fine.
I'll update if I find a way to fix this problem.
Same problem at the same exact moment, so the game is not playable. I'm using 1.7.34.

Hey THX. It works so far. I use Debian Jessie and play it with PlayOnLinux and Wine 1.7.38. The Bug is still there.
Hey, for anyone out there still trying, Heretic Kingdoms: The Inquisition does indeed work in WINE; the crashing issue was fixed in a WINE staging release and the fixes were rolled in to WINE 1.7.55.
