Does anyone know how to change the save location for Halfway? I want all of my game saves on a different hard drive.

Thanks for your help.

Go to the Halfway game directory and find the file goglog.ini

I think the 3rd line defines the location of your save files:

[1207666533]
Dirs=1
Dir_0=C:\Users\*yourname*\AppData\Local\..\..\.halfway
F0=goggame-1207666533.dll
files_counter=4
F1=goggame-1207666533.info
F2=webcache.zip
F3=levels\_WalkTestCase.hmap

By default, the two save files "halfwayHBProgress0.json" and "halfwayProgress0.json" are in the "c:\user\yourname\.halfway" directory.
I haven't personally tried to change the directory of my saves so it would be a good idea to backup the save files as well as goglog.ini before trying this. Hope this helps!

EDIT: Tested it and it doesn't seem to work, even if I change the directory in the 3rd line of goglog.ini the game still gets the save data from the previous directory, strange.

Yes, I had tried that too. Actually tried that for several different games and it didnt change anything for them either. So dont have any idea where I should look next. Thanks for the attempt.

Actually, that file is just some worthless Galaxy crap. Nothing to do with the actual game AFAIK. I suppose it does show GOG is planning a save backup feature or the like.

Yeah I think you're right, doesn't seem to affect anything as far as I've tested it out.

Win 7, So I have 3 HDDs. 1 (C:\) for OS and major programs I use alot. 1 (E:\) for games, saves and less important programs. 1 (Z:\) for game capture video and other media.

I have used the right click>properties>location option on the "My Documents" folder to move it to E:\ and that works for any game that uses "My Documents" folder. Halfway creates a folder under the user directory and I dont have that option.

This mklink is new to me so I'll have to look it up and try and see if this works for me.
