Have you tried installing/reinstalling the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable?

That file should sit in your c:\windows\system32 folder.

Install the "Visual C++ Redistributable Packages for Visual Studio 2013" from microsoft.com (use google).

In my case installing the 32bit version in addition to the already installed 64bit version fixed the error.

Hope this helps!
In my case this file already is in the windows\system32 folder, but not in the grandia folder, where other .dll files like MSVP100.dll are.

I tried to copy it into the Grandia 2 Anniversary folder, but this doesn´t work.
If I do this another error shows up:

0xc00007b the application was unable to start correctly

What has to do with the above problem ?
It's the same problem, even on different windows. Solution is there and confirmed works on windows 8.1 and 7

I do not use the Galaxy client :(
This version of the VC files solved my problem, downloaded both the x64 and x86 and installed both.

All working now :)
