Hi,
a new member and just got a good gaming laptop and want to get some new games. Bit of old style, as now into Unreal Tournament.
What are good recommendations for mouse friendly games (e.g. Ghost Recon).
Thanks and regards,
Michael

What exactly do you expect of a mouse friendly game? Almost all the FPS here on GOG support standard moving by keyboard while looking around with the mouse. It's mostly newer games or ports from consoles that clearly favor gamepads, but GOG lists tons of genuine PC titles with more or less flawless keyboard + mouse controls.
I have recently downloaded 3 STALKER games, 2 (Clear Sky ans Call of Pripyat) display .dll error - d3dx9_42 missing.
I ran diagnostics and I have Direct X 11. I have rebooted, but didn't help, and couldn't find a newer version. Am running Windows 7 Pro, 64bit.
Any suggestions?
Thanks

Sure, install DirectX 9 from the following link to complete your system with all older components of DirectX that aren't installed by default.

After you've downloaded it, just double-click the file to start the installation. You need Administrator rights for this, but usually your Windows asks you if want to grant them, click yes.
DirectX isn't one of the usual programs but rather consists of several components that are integrated in your Windows operating system. No need to tell it where to install, it knows its place. Btw, you can't even uninstall it, so it won't appear in your list of programs.

EDIT: If the installaiton fails because of missing Admin rights, right-click the file and select "Run as Administrator".
