Yeah this is not solved really. Still a problem.
Didn't help. The Steam plugin used to crash periodically but now it won't even start when I click retry. So I can't even launch my games since it removes that option (which is stupid frankly, at least try to launch the **** game's exe)
Tried the suggested solutions, but still says all the time that "plugin has crashed".

Though it is not the only one, also Origin says the same now and PSN hasn't worked anymore for a whiie, that one says just "Offline".

This has been happening to me for weeks. Today I followed these instructions and it's working again. I think this forces a community integration update which isn't happening automatically through the client.

I don't like the last days posts. I al;ready know the answer without asking. You all already had the new steam ui. Reason why i am here, to see if i can transfer everything.

Yeah, I don't think this is "solved".

Just started using 2.0 today (I didn't even know about it). Everything works great EXCEPT Steam. The plugin won't stop crashing. My games are showing, but I can't run them.

Since 70% of my 1300+ games are on Steam, it pretty much makes the "all in one place" feature of Galaxy a moot point. So, while I LOVE the client, until Steam gets fixed, I can't use it like I'd like to.

Oh, just to be clear, I tried the suggestions here. No effect.

Yeah the steam plugin rarely works. :( Just says that it is offline and pressing retry doesnt help.
Same issue. Sad really, but as I have most games on GOG, it isn't that much of an issue for me.
It's still frustrating though.

Had to disconnect the plugin via Galaxy, and allow it to reconnect, pretty irritating going through the process of re-logging/authenticating steam over and over again!

It happens too often to be an advantage over just using steam's native client! I largely blame steam's api as it's constantly updating!

I just installed new v2.0.15.43 and it keeps crashing at 20% while importing GOG games and I didn't even link my steam bib with 10k games lol. Any advice? Im in Windows 2004 btw. I reinstalled GOG already but it didn't help.

Yeah, how exactly is this solved? The plugin crashes like 5 times a day and you manually have to restart the plugin via the retry button. It's annoying as hell...
Yeah I just finally got around to trying GOG, super disappointed... Within a minute of opening the Steam plugin has crashed, being almost all my games are in Steam it renders this app pretty much useless.

ONLY five times a day? I can't get it to stay connected at all. When I hit retry it says it reconnected, but then about 15-20 seconds later it says "Not responding" in red, and then goes back to "Retry". There's obviously a communications problem between the service and Galaxy. My guess is that the Gog programmers can't fix it without help from Steam, and they have no monetary reason to really help them, so it remains unaddressed. A shame, too, because Galaxy has the library sorting and filtering features I keep WISHING Steam would implement, but they don't. It's really a pain in the butt to have a HUGE library of games, but not even be able to filter/group them by genre.
I'm not sure what even the point of using galaxy is when this keeps happening......

I've started looking for alternatives. First PSN won't connect at all. Now Steam keeps having issues. For me it just shows as Offline Retry. Pressing retry does nothing at all. I have to disconnect and reconnect it. But I have to do this way too often. And by doing this, my entire lib has to import again and there is a chance that will cause a crash or some games won't get picked up...

GOG, fix your broken software. It's borderline useless with the problems right now.
