Maybe there's a community integration for it? Or they seriously should add it since it's the most played game in the world.

as far as I know only for the bedrock edition (Xbox)
So sad if it's impossible to add java.
Dev stated that manual integrations of executables will be included in one of the next (feature) releases.

If you want to, you can use a workaround:
- go to the "Recent" tab
- choose a game from the "recently played by others" section that you don't own (and best not to plan on owning anytime soon)
- click on the game
- click on "Mark as owned"
- click on "Link executable" and choose the Minecraft executable file you want to start
- click on "..." and choose "Edit" in the context menu that showed up
- go to the product tab
- remove the games name and type in "Minecraft"
- choose the Mineraft entry and click on "ok"
- Click "Play"

Edit: Forgot to mention this has a considerable downside, as Galaxy identifies any game by a unique id (that you can't change), Galaxy will from now on use the changes you made for this game on any occurence > "Minecraft" will now show up in the "recently played by others" section altough in reality its the game entry you modified

Hey man. What's up? Have you managed to run minecraft ? I'm wondering if it's possible too. I am a big minecraft fan, as I play it since I was a little boy. I have first tried in 2011, and playing till today in 2020. This is definitely the best game that I have ever tried. Now I am playing on a very nice server hosted on https://ggservers.com. It's very stable and works really fine, but I am interested if I can play minecraft from GOG 2.0

- Klick on "Add games & friends
- Choose "Add game manually" in the context menu
- type "Minecraft" in the search field
- Choose the game from the search results

Now that the game is there, you just need to link the minecraft executable:

on the games page

- click on "mark as owned"
- click on "Link Executeable"
- in the file dialog go to the Minecraft install directory (on windows its standardpath is C:\Programs (x86)\Minecraft)
- choose the executable and click" open"

Of course, you can, you can do it according to the instructions below. It helped me personally. I hope to help you too. First you need to right-click on the game. Then click "Link to the executable file" and select Minecraft, then click "..." and in the context menu that appears, select "Edit>. Now, delete the name of the game and enter "Minecraft"
- select the Minecraft entry and click "OK" and you can safely play. You can also reinstall the game, and it's quite simple to do it. Previously, I could not find a free version of Minecraft for a long time, but now it's easier than ever to do it, just by going to https://techplugged.com/how-to-add-friends-on-minecraft-in-windows-10/.

I think that this can be done in the future. By the way, I started playing Minecraft back in 2013, and I'm always alone. Then a friend told me that you could find a server where many players play. After that, we went to look for a top server where we could play. After a while, we found a huge server where we have already met more than ten people. But then I got bored with this, and I decided to find a hardcore server where everything ends after death. And for several years now, I have been playing on various hardcore servers, and I like it :)))
