My issue is that if game is added already by something like Steam i can't add it any longer manually and point to executable. Which is really annoying since i mod a lot of games AND somtimes i use version of games that come from developer own sites like in case of Factorio where i have both Steam and version from developer site and i use them both. Steam to play with friends and developer one for mods.

with GOG Galaxy 2.0 right now if i have Factorio in Steam i can no longer point to game manually.
Yeah had exact same problem with Control. The game doesn't require the launcher to run and i hate the Epic launcher and it doesn't provide anything useful features anyways so i uninstalled it but to launch the game from the exe i had to first unlike my epic account from galaxy, add the game in manually then relink epic and it kept it but that's really inconvenient.

Currently you can work around it by using the "+" on the top of recent/all games or cogwheel menu->"Add games & friends" and then -> "Add game manually". You can add a generic "Other platform" entry that points to executable of your choice to the game's stack, and choose which entry is the default - "Steam" or "Other".

As for manually adding multiple playtasks to existing game entries (+ missing from 1.2 commandline parameters) - we'll see what nearest months will bring in that matter. :)

How would I do that?

I can find the "Other platform" entry when searching manually with Ctrl + F, but its nowhere to be found when adding a game.

Don't use the search dialog, but - "Add" dialog, available via the "+" button in the top bar.

Thats what I meant.

I get this when searching:

And this when adding a game. Other - Platform is not on the list:

Does it work for you?

Sorry my bad:
There is no specfic "other plattform" you can add. If you add a game and link an executable to it, it automatically gets its plattform set to "other".
Example
I searched for a call of duty game (as I don't own any of these), clicked on mark as owned, and linked some executable to it. Now when I filter "All games", I have a plattform entry "other", and if I click on it, only that "call of duty" game remains.

My instructions were not clear, sorry. :)

I will show it in a descriptive way - on a video.
I have Hollow Knight already on GOG, but let's say I want to add a custom executable:

Bear in mind this is a workaround, and we will add this as a functionality really soon. :)

Thanks to both! This will do the work meanwhile.

Hey! Can you help me? I have the same problem as you but I can´t link directly the game because the file is a direct acces to internet (A twitch game) and it doesn't detects it as a game file. Can you help me please?
Support. I had a non-Uplay (part of a CD collection) version of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time installed on my system but I couldn't link it in Galaxy because I also have the game on Uplay. So, instead, I had to uninstall the CD version and reinstall it through Uplay, which was annoying.

This workaround needs to be more visible. I took me a while to find it, and I guess other people will give up instantly and be mad at Galaxy for not having the option to do it.

In the "Select an executable to link" window, can you select "All" in the drop down on the bottom right? Then all files should be linkable.
