Atlantis series, Dracula series, Syberia 1&2, MegaRace 1-3, Moto Racer 1-3, and more Anuman games 70% off!

Here's a thing about coincidences: they happen. And when they do happen, they sometimes produce awkward outcomes. Seeing that we're offering a whole bunch of classic fan-favorite racing games, as well as some awesome adventure titles on one big sale, we decided to call the promo [url=http://www.gog.com/promo/anuman_promo_061213]Fast and Adventurous. How clever of us, isn't it? A play on the Fast and Furious movie series title and the prominent game genres in the promo--seemed just perfect. Then, a day after we approved the title and made it final, came the news: Paul Walker and his driver died tragically in a car crash. Imagine, how stupid we felt. Now, all we can do, is to assure you that we meant no disrespect and many of us are big fans of Paul Walker's the over-the-top spectacular movie series. We're going to miss the man who made such a great job of entertaining so many people.

But we're here for the games, aren't we? 20 Anuman Interactive games get a 70% off discount. Let's have a look at some of them, shall we?
So, let's start with the "adventurous". The stories of the lost land of have filled our imagination with amazing visions for ages. The adventure games fueled by those vision can set the mood for further exploration of the unknown. [url=http://www.gog.com/game/syberia]Syberia, although it can be seemingly easy located on a map, is no less mysterious and strange than Atlantis. At least in the phenomenal point-and-clicks by the visionary Benoît Sokal, it is.

If adventures aren't really your thing, and you're here for the "fast" part, you'll enjoy the classic futuristic racing titles MegaRace 1+2 and Megarace 3--all presented in oddly charming TV game-show aesthetics. There's also some of more traditional racing, with just two wheels this time, in the Moto Racer, Moto Racer 2, and Moto Racer 3 fan-acclaimed series.

That's only a part of our weekend promo. Head out to the promo page to see the whole list, pick your favorites, and grab them 70% off. The offer lasts until Tuesday, December 10, at 4:59AM GMT.

keeveek: For example, if you knock down a guard and hide his body, some other guard might get curious about what happened to him. It doesn't mean he will rise alert of any kinds. He may sweep the area, he may alert some nearby guards, depending on a situation. Or when you run past his eye sight, he will be more alerted than when you walk past it casually.
Then I must played different game as I remember same behaviour for gangsters/cops when you knocked them down. :p

justanoldgamer: Just added the following to my collection.

Iron Storm : The one I added last because of some of the bad reviews, but I'm a sucker for alternate history.

Post Mortem : I stopped playing Still Life at a puzzle that has no reason to be except to slow down the game, maybe this one will put me back in the mood to go back to it.

Return to mysterious island: Not sure why I added it, the decision was more like "Why not?"

Atlantis 3: The new world : The whole series looks great, I don't know why I haven't bought them before
Atlantis 2: Beyond Atlantis
Atlantis: The Lost Tales

Moto Racer 3
Moto Racer 2
Moto Racer : Was just waiting for a good sale to grab those, I almost skipped 3.

Megarace 3 : I blame my completionist instincts.

Robin Hood: The legend of Sherwood : I was intrigued by tinyE's description.

Haegemonia Gold Edition: The description makes me hope for space opera type battles.

Syberia 2 : Completionism strikes again. I still haven't played the first one.

Now I just have to wait for my ISP to add the extensions I requested as I only have about 10G capacity left and this will bust it and I still have to plan for normal use and next weekend.
Which Still Life puzzle was it the lockpicking one?

It's near the beginning, the combination lock on the trunk in her closet.

That's what I wanted to do. I wrote down how it worked and wanted to write a program to solve it but never got around to do it.
I've been waiting for the Still Life series to go on sale for a while... and surprisingly, I don't feel like buying it.

Huh.

:(
Anyone want to try and sell me on Return to the Mysterious Island?

It has a monkey, an island and some kind of mystery. :P

Pica-Ludica: And finally, a question for people who have played the Dracula trilogy: how "horror"-oriented is it, exactly? I dislike realistic/psychological horror since I end up having nightmares because of it. However, I really love Bram Stoker's Dracula, and I'd like to give this trilogy a go, but I'm kind of worried I won't enjoy it much if it's too scary. :/ (For example, I can't manage games like Silent Hill, but I did enjoy Eternal Darkness).
Anyone? :)

Don't worry, they are not like Silent Hill, so I think you will enjoy them. ;)

That really is an awful coincidence, and must have been so frustrating for you. If only it were possible to type different letters on a keyboard and turn them into little titles on a web page in the space of just a week with absolutely no physical print process to deal with. But I suppose it's pointless pondering such fantasies. Damn the approval and its inescapable finality... damn it to hell!!
Well, just purchased Dracula Trilogy along with both Syberia 1 & 2, impending sales extravaganzas be damned. Horror-themed adventures are a no-brainer for me, and the accumulated commentary of the community compelled me to purchase the other items.
Still waiting on the end of the year sale, though. Hopefully I'll have more than a buck seventy-two by the time it arrives in full.

Note to self - research black market organ vendors as a means to finance burgeoning and soon to be all-consuming games purchase addiction.

Thanks a bunch for your input, I'll give the trilogy a whirl then. :) Cheers~!
Tempted by the Syberias, but as I already have them on steam I'll have to think about it... Plenty of time left at least!
