65 assorted games 70% off, no risk of getting trampled!

The time has come to unveil our [url=http://www.gog.com/promo/black_friday_weekend_promo_291113]special Black Friday promo First, let's put things in some perspective, though. There are a few great things about the Black Friday retail festivities, and one really, really bad one, that kind of spoils all the joy for many people. On one hand, you can go out there and grab consumer electronics, games, movies, and other tech-goods with insanely attractive discounts, finally getting those things you wanted, but without the guilt of paying too much for stuff that's not essential to your wellbeing. On the other, you risk getting seriously battered-up in the process, as hundreds, or thousands of other people will be trying to do just the same and they won't take competition kindly. Each year people get injured in their pursuit of great deals. Badly injured! Killed even! Even if the media blow the thing way out of proportion, the risk still exists.

Why take any risks? You're entitled to great Black Friday deals without exposing yourself to raging crowds. Take the digital route, this year! We've prepared a huge selection of titles for you, and applied a huge discount to all of them. Games that usually cost $9.99 are now available for only $2.99. Titles with $5.99 regular price tag are up for grabs for only $1.79. That's 70% off discount on a selection of 65 fantastic games. You can greatly expand your DRM-free collection and emerge victorious from this whole Black Friday ordeal, without staring into Death's cold eyes even once. You don't even need to rush in--we give you plenty of time to plan your purchase, so you don't end up with something you bought because it was dirt cheap, not because you really wanted it. That's Black Friday GOG.com customer love style! The offer lasts until Tuesday, December 3, at 10:59AM GMT.
Trevor Chan's gems are present in this sale: Seven Kingdoms AA, Seven Kingdoms Frythan Wars and Capitalism 2
Woo, good sale! Time to finally get both Seven Kingdoms games and Praetorians off my wishlist. Good chance to pick up some that I might not have otherwise, such as the Incoming games. Ta GOG!
Oh, too bad the Zork games aren't on sale as well. :(

Might pick up Soulbringer, heard good things about it.
Any opinions on Waxworks? Looks like Elvira sans boobs.
OK, I just got a natural 20 on my reality check. With such a huge backlog I really don't need more games, even though the discount is really nice. I'll pass...

BTCentral: Hah, I feel the same. The only game of any interest in the sale was one I already had :p

Having said that, it's probably the latter. I'm sure I've got a backlog of a year or two worth of games to play through right now anyway (between GOG and Steam), so maybe it's just as well!

Still working my way though & enjoying NWN2 at the moment which I picked up (along with a fair few others!) in the last GOG sale :) (already had it, just not everything from the GOG version - playing the OC again then will do all the expansions too!)

Dzsono: Yup, NWN2 I picked up for the expansions just like you did. Although, I didn't install it straight away which could be my downfall. I stall because I know I have to prepare myself for hours of character creation because the expansions start at level 18. I plan all my characters beforehand and I spend (too) much time weighing the pros and cons of each build. It's an illness :D
Save yourself some pain, pre-build your chars at nwn2db.com
Anyone want to try to sell me on the Creatures games? Every time there is a sale on them something keeps me from getting them and I sit watching the snow fall outside my window wondering if I missed out of something.

At that point I play Carmageddon and forget about the whole thing.

A nice opportunity to buy Simon 2. Have not played Simon 1 yet, but the price is unbeatable. :) Is Riddick worth the $4.49? I was already thinking about buying it in the Insomnia promo.

I'm on tutorial 6 out of 7 in Tzar and it seems to be a solid RTS from its days. I just love it that I didn't have to tweak anything, no crashes and the tutorial is great, somewhat long for its intention but I see it as practice so I'll follow through. In-game index is so underappreciated too, kudos for that.

Two complaints though: first is the AI pathing. It doesn't seem to be the best and at the end tutorial 5 mission it started to glitch real weird but then I alt-tabbed and back and then it disappeared, I have no idea what that was. Maybe mouse drivers conflict? Is a compatibility setting like Win98 or XP SP2 recommended?

The second one is that the music and sound effects keep changing volume in-game in a weird manner and I've seen this before with older, especially RTS games. If I start to build something with many workers it's like the sound increases incrementally for every worker and it becomes really loud in some situations. I would prefer to keep it consistent, it doesn't add anything if it's intentional.

Older games aren't great at handling alt-tab. Heck even some recent ones, CIV V makes my video card overheat if I alt-tab or run it in a window.

I just wrote that alt-tabbing solved it. :P

Anyway, I didn't alt-tab at all before that and it's something about pathing along with mouse support that isn't working as intended, not a huge deal but it does bother me.

Do you like Elvira games? If yes then I see no reason why you shouldn't enjoy Waxworks. It's basically the same game. Slightly enhanced graphic, slightly modified UI but everything else is the same: horror atmosphere, mixture of adventure and cRGP, the same fighting mechanics, a lot of gore, 100 ways to die...

Oh, wait! Now I can see one reason! If you like Elvira games because of boobs then you may not like Waxworks ;) AFAIR there is a girl with a pretty big cleavage in Waxworks but she is also heartless. And it's not a figure of speech ;)

Ugh bob the builder and his elite squad. Protip, never publish your builds. As for the expansions, do NOT play NWN2 without having it patched to the latest version. Though I guess the gog version is the latest with everything preinstalled.
Wow! Extremely good sale!! You know it´s a good one when you get 14 games, and most of them weren´t even on your wishlist...

Now let´s hope Battle World Kronos and Battle Isle get a discount on Christmas :)
