The Adventures of Shuggy, VVVVVV, Gateways, Time, Gentlemen Please! + Ben There, Dan That!, and Escape Goat for as little as $0.99 each!

GOG.com 5th birthday celebration continues, and today we've got something super lined up for you. A special bundle release of exceptional indie games hit GOG.com shelves and--guess what--they're on promo! You can get each of them 60-80% off, with each title you add to your cart adding 5% to the final discount. That means all the releases in the Super 5 Promo can be yours for as little as $5 total! (Well, $4.95, to be exact.) The special offer lasts for the first week, that is until Tuesday, October 1, at 9:59AM GMT. After that, the games will be priced at--you guessed it--$5 each. Enough talk, let's get down to business and get a closer look at the Super 5 Promo releases!

The Adventures of Shuggy trailer video

In the puzzle-platformer genre The Adventures of Shuggy stands out with the multitude of cleverly designed stages and diverse mechanics involving gravity shifting and time manipulations. Don't let the cute artwork fool you, and get ready for some challenging platforming and brain-twisting!

VVVVVV trailer video

Talking 'bout challenging platforming, Terry Cavanagh's VVVVVV is difficult enough to be considered a "punishment game", but it's also so addicting, that you'll have trouble putting it down. Brilliant gravity-shifting gameplay, excellent level design, and originally presented story more than just makes up for the game's simplistic graphics. Take it for a spin! (Windows + Mac!)

Gateways trailer video

Bending the space-time continuum on the micro-scale is the theme of Gateways, a retrotastic puzzle-platformer from the devs of The Adventures of Shuggy. Master the gateway guns to travel across a room instantly, change size, walk on walls and even travel in time. (Windows + Mac!)

Escape Goat trailer video

Escape Goat is a puzzle platforming game where you take on the role of a goat who was imprisoned for witchcraft. Take heart, for a friendly magic mouse accompanies you, and he can help in the most unexpected ways. Together you must solve 50 rooms of the treacherous Prison of Agnus in order to escape. Level editor included! (Windows + Mac!)

Time, Gentlemen Please! + Ben There, Dan That!

Ben There, Dan That! and its sequel Time Gentlemen, Please! are a couple of rip-roaring point-and-click adventure games. With tongue firmly in cheek, sit back, relax, and put your mind to work solving puzzles, and reading some very funny dialogue. It's like a book, only good!

There you have it, 5 excellent new indie additions to GOG.com catalog, for a little under $5 if you get them all until Tuesday, October 1, at 9:59AM GMT. That's our Super 5 Promo, a part of GOG.com 5th birthday celebration!

So many games in one day:! :O,
Although I am not interested in them, I am sure other folks here would be chuffed to have them .

SirPrimalform: Hmm, can someone who's bought the whole thing help me out?

Novotnus: Found anybody? If not, I can help.
Any chance I'd be able to take you up on that offer to? For Gateways. Don't have very many keys though. I think I only have a Snapshot Steam key and a few humble bundle keys that were bonuses (already owned the bundles).

I'd be willing to do paypal too.

I'm willing to go first.
Nice, I have zero of these. Countdown until I don't begins now.

And no I'm not big on those Humble Bundles that all the complainers seem to obsess over.
My jimmies are darn unrustled thanks to the past few weeks of good old games, and the fact that we'll be getting American Revolt this Friday. :) Third time saying this, but I hope this means we'll get the other Bullfrog expansions soon after, perhaps even next week!

And after seeing Tommo here, I've reverted somewhat to my old self of bringing up, "Can we pleeeeeeaaaaaaase see the Humongous point and click adventurrrrrrrreeeeeesssss and their soundtrrraaaaaccckkkkssss show up?" Obviously I won't get an answer, but until I see the games come or officially hear that they are not going to be brought, I'll bring this up. :P (Not my photo, unfortunately)

Enjoy PJ Sam's OST: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k_gtu9yd0ZU
Or what I was just listening to, Frogger: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VaU_Ocb30Bo&list=PLF59B5C5F68504D81

rrr8891: I haven't heard of any of these, but at this price it's a chance I'm willing to take. Sacrastic whining with a girly anime face is a great way to get yourself downrepped. Good job!
Serial Experiments Lain is a good show, you should watch it.

My only issue is: Why are all these type of indie games platformers? And why do they all have that exact same cartoon-y art-style? I know I'm stereotyping here (because there's exceptions to the rule) but why platformers? And why that art-style? It's every indie game almost that has this "look".

I don't have a problem with indie games or platformers (I really liked the recent Volgarr the Viking because it had a good art-style and it's a solid professional product), but the overwhelming sense I get from these type of bundle fodder indie games is cheapness, not just in terms of price but in aesthetic.

EDIT: On second look the "Gateways" game does look interesting though.

You seem to care more than I do.

It requires certain level of intelligence which he is lacking.

Dang it. I'm still a bit torn about what to buy. After giving it some more thought, I'm really not that interested in that adventure thing - yes, even for a mere cent since it may very well end up being a game I'm never going to play like some of my other impulse GOG purchases - and I don't know whether it's worth getting VVVVVV just for the level editor even if it's only a mere fifty cents or so.

I'm definitely going for the other three though.

G-Doc: snip
Is there any reason why the Gateways level editor is not included in the extras section? It's readily available from the dev's site, so I'd assume it shouldn't be a problem including it with the game here.
Oh, sod it. VVVVVV will be thrown in as well so I can experience the user levels, which sound pretty damn good from Terry's selection, anyway. Four games it is then. :)
I can't recall. Is this the third week or the last week of the birthday celebration?

This is the start of the third week. :)

Two more weeks after this one (five total).

Good to know. I thought there were only 4 weeks actually, though I guess 5 would fit the theme. Hopefully I don't spend all my money keeping up.
I'm not sure if I should get the ones I don't have (I have VVVVVV and BTDT/TGP) or pay the 52 cents extra and get the whole thing...
Yes! Gimme!
best gog promo ever
I'm glad for these new additions on GOG, mainly because I like to have most of the DRM-Free games at my favorite place - GOG library.
Mmmm and all those wonderful goodies, I really like soundtracks! :D

I would like to thank Terry Cavanagh for the nice message in the about.txt and mainly for the VVVVVV prototypes.
I think that collectables were actually a good idea, it's fun to collect them in the prototype :)
