Oh my ears and whiskers! I'm early!

The Night of the Rabbit, a point-and-click adventure of magic and mystery, with beautiful storybook graphics, arrived a day early and it's available for Windows and Mac OS X on GOG.com, for only $19.99.

Who goes there? Oh, you have startled me, human. We don't see many of your kind here, in the deepest depths of the forest. This isn't a place most humans would understand, their minds always busy with their work and duties. This is Mouswood, a place of magic, wonders, and danger. Or was it "adventure"? I do always get these two confused. Are you lost? I'll tell you a secret--you're only lost as long as you keep looking for a way out. Me? I never go looking for anything else than what I've already got. You never know what you may find. Or what may have find you. Take this boy who came across my clearing a while ago--was it days, or weeks, or years?--he was looking for something, but instead he was found by the Marquis. That must've ended badly for him, I gather. Or was it "well"? Words are confusing. But look at me, going on and on and on, while you probably don't want to listen to the old tree like me. Ah! I don't even suppose you can understand me, and my leafwind speach. You probably just wanted to rest a while in my shadow. Well, be on your way then. Good luck. Just remember: don't follow the white rabbit. Or "do follow" him. I do always get these two confused.

The Night of the Rabbit is an adventure game that features classic point-and-click gameplay, but matches it with extraordinary amount of fairytale qualities. The puzzles here, are an addition to the story, not the other way around. As you follow the hero, Jerry Hazelnut, and his rabbit guide, the mysterious Marquis de Hoto, deep into the mysteriously beautiful realm of Mousewood, you will many times stop to look with awe at your surroundings. The gameworld envisioned by Matt Kempke, is full of discrete charm and secret matters known only to the inhabitants of the forest. The story, as it starts to reveal, will put you in that special state of mind you only experience as a child, heading out to meet the adventure unknown, before the summer ends. If you're looking for a game full of wonders, that will make your inner child smile, and yet force you to reflect on things important in life, you have found it. Let the Rabbit lead you towards a late summer night's dream.

The Mousewood calls, can you hear it--the soft, charming whisper in the wind, playing with the summer's first dry leaves? Answer its call, get The Night of the Rabbit for only $19.99 on GOG.com.

gixgox: For us poor Germans Steam sets the price to € 29.99 !!!
But it has full audio support also for German.

Sorry GOG, though I absolutely must have this game (preferably from GOG), I'll wait until the price drops and the full language pack is included.
According to experience, the prices for games are going down very fast - sorry for the developers.
are you sure ?

look closely , there're two prices : one with the game (19.99 €) , and another with the game + OST (24.99€)

my guess the price depends from the tax , that would explain the difference between 24.99 € / 29.99 € (you should have looked the premium version , or whatever the name) . I can be wrong ... but regardless the price in the US...

The German version is more expensive because of a deal Daedalic got with the German distributor. Daedalic got a funding from this distributor, however the digital copy the agreement also says that the digital version should cost the same as the German physical copy... More details on this other post.

ok ok , stil a nice mess up (not the devs fault)

so the gog version won't have the german language........

i'm feeling a bit sorry for the german players here : a digital copy should always be a bit cheaper than a boxed copy.

How could've I missed this one on the wishlist?
Good release but...Why is the Soundtrack missing?

The audio stories from the Mousewood are absent as well

Daedalic is becoming greedy and lazy like BornReady Games here (aka not including extras and with the extreme focus on the Steam version)

I'd buy this in an instant if I didn't have to really careful with my expenses right now. Love Daedalic's work.

Definitely not buying unless this is somehow rectified

Thanks for the heads-up, Roman5

For the soundtrack thing, it was mentioned in the pre-release thread that they have it as an addon, but GOG doesn't currently support addons. So their options were
1) Sell the game with the soundtrack for an increased price
2) Sell the game without soundtrack for the current price
3) Not sell the game.
They went with option 2. I'm not sure if they said they would bring the soundtrack over when they could, but can go look for the posts if you want.

No idea about the audio stories.

I love how informative you are, JMich :)

Ah, so an add-on (I missed the pre-release thread)... that's not so bad but a shame as I *love* soundtracks. I'll have to check if it's available elsewhere to support the musicians directly

One thing I've noticed is GOG does do it's best to add things if we yell loud enough, so mayhaps things might be added later :)

The first two aren't mutually exclusive, does GOG have a policy that prevents developers from releasing multiple SKUs of a product?

No idea, you'll have to ask GOG. But seeing the number of posts saying "It should have been included with the base game" on the Omerta DLCs doesn't fill me with confidence for 2 different game versions, one with more extras than the other.
I have entered in the game and it has the Mousewood stories, just only could be hear in game.

I know this isn´t a thread but since I didn´t see any of support, anybody has seen that the installers aren´t the ones that appear in the account? And has anybody has problems with no sound during the intro? : s
