Re-charge and go!

Re-Volt, a dynamic racing game with tons of fun and excitement that only RC toy cars could possibly provide, is available on GOG.com, for only $5.99.

Go through the pipe, use the cardboard ramp to jump across the puddle, zip through the hole in the picket fence and take a sharp turn to fit on the sidewalk. Look at your opponent, he didn't make the turn, and now his car tumbles into the storm drain. Oh no! The battery runs low, and the finish line is still fifty feet away. Time to use the boost, you were saving through the whole race! Wooosh!!! Damn that pidgeon, why did he had to be in the way. Nevermind, the finish line. So close. Battery failing. So slow. Oh no, the buzzing of a tiny engine just around the corner. Get pass the finish line. Now. Victory!

Re-Volt will make your inner child squeal with joy! If you ever got to play with RC cars (or, really, any other type of toy cars as there is no limit to child's imagination), you will find the same whimsical excitement in this fantastic, colorful game. With many types of RC cars to choose from, a great selection of imaginative tracks improvised in some of the most unexpected places, and dynamic gameplay nicely conveying the "light" physics of toy cars. If you're looking for a racing game packed with tons of fun, this classic title is a safe pick for you!

Batteries and plastic can easily prove to be far more exciting than gasoline and metal in Re-Volt, on GOG.com, for only $5.99
I also happen to remember this one. In fact, I probably still have a disc version lying around here somewhere, but might get a digital copy, if only for convenience. I'd recommend this game to anyone interested in Fun Racers, such as Mario Kart. ( Have to say, I'm kind of surprised about its age and relatively small file size. )
Oh, my Santachrist.

Shaolin_sKunk: BTW, does anyone know when/if Flatout 2's going to get here? I know it's available from Dotemu but I've grown attached to my shelf. *shame*
FlatOut: Ultimate Carnage is Flatout 2 HD but has optional GFWL features, maybe its stripping these out that's causing issues...
I love this one .... thanks gog :D ... now give me X-Com Apocallypse and I am sooo happy :D
I still can't seem to access the game forum. I assume the search doesn't like the "-" in the name.

That's odd. I can't type it in to get it, but it's there because I bought it and that's how I get to it. Still, I should be able to type re-volt in the box and get it, but no.
Insta-bought, downloaded, and already played. I have fond memories of playing the demo for ages back in the day and never had the full version, until right now.

To anyone on the fence, just imagine Mario Kart with much looser steering and you won't be far off. It's a challenge, but a rewarding one. Also, fireworks. Much more explosive than koopa shells.

liquidsnakehpks: One of the best racing games there is to play , if you are into those hot wheels racing games you will love this

....wait the game car handling was a pain i never could win without dr grudge ....
RC San is probably the best car in the game if you spend the time to learn how to take the curves .
So so so so happy!!!! I really really hope to see a much more active online racing community now! Come join us in RV House for some awesome online racing, everybody!

In most search engines, a hyphen denotes something you don't want in your search results. So I think the GOG forum search thinks you're looking for "re" and filtering out "volt" results in the process.

EDIT: If you search for "volt" you'll find the forum.

EDIT 2: But if you search "re-vol", Republic: The Revolution shows up (like it's ignoring the hyphen). Intriguing.

F4LL0UT: Edit: Re-Volt does have splitscreen mode, right?
Yes, but you need to patch it with the latest 1.2 Alpha patch (check re-volt forums). Here's a video demonstrating it:

Ah, bring back memories.

I hope we will get Rollcage at some point too :)
Wow, this was a shock to see the release mentioned on Twitter! Revolt is one of my favorite games of all times, I played it to death back in the day. Still have my CD copy but I think last time I tried to install it it became a mess and I gave up.

I almost never buy at "full price" but I think I'll have to make an exception in this case!

THANK YOU GOG!!! :)

Already watched the same video earlier today but thanks. I'm desperately looking for games which I can play with my GF so with the patch Re-Volt might be a decent choice, I guess.
