Spherical solitude.

InFlux, a beautiful physics-based puzzle game with beautiful outdoorsy setting and fantastic musical background, is available 10% off on GOG.com. That's only $8.99 for the first week.

A mysterious metallis sphere falls from the sky on a seemingly forgotten desert island. Does it make a sound when it reaches the ground, if there's nobody there to hear it? That's a good, philosophical question. It won't be answered in this game, however. In this case you were the witness its fall, so you would know if there was any sound on impact. The purpose of the sphere and the nature of strange structures that surround you on the island, remain a mystery that can be solved only by you.

InFlux is an intriguing game with physics-based mechanics, in which you controll the movements of a metallic sphere to solve mind-bending puzzles. Strange cubic domes scattered across a large outdoors free-roaming area provide unique challenges that will test your logic and perception, as you try to unlock the many secrets of the island that the game is set upon. With beautiful graphics and phenomenal music background this game delivers many hours of relaxed, yet challenging and diverse gameplay.

Discover the secrets of the island and the meaning of its many mysterious contraptions in InFlux, for only $8.99 on GOG.com. The 10% off discount offer lasts until Tuesday, July 29, at 12:59PM GMT.
It mostly reminds me of Ballance

Nice Tuesday - two nice games released!!
I thought I saw some whinging time traveller had ABSOLUTELY POSITIVELY CONFIRMED that we were only getting two releases per week.
I think I will get it. Eventually. No need to hurry with my huge backlog so I guess it will be rather later than sooner. I do enjoy physics games but let's not get crazy here. I usually spend half of my day with physics so I don't necessarily crave for spending the other half on physics too.
Looks promising.
Wow! I didn't expect that this game would come out so soon, not to mention a surprise release on Gog.com! I'd first learnt about this game as part of an indie game showcase at the PAX Melbourne's website (The event was held over 3 days last Friday to the weekend). Yes, this game is made here in my city of Melbourne, Australia! Whoo-hoo!
Looks lovely and I like a good puzzle game with physics. Shame the introductory price isn't as discounted as some other new releases (e.g. Humans Must Answer was a third off the regular price). I think a starting gate sale really helps drum up interest in a game, especially a new title without an established fanbase. Whatever the case, I've wishlisted this one, but may hold off until I see if it ends up in a more discounted sale. Or at least until the reviews start pouring in.
OK, i've played a few stages and it's really like the trailer so expect a very chill-out puzzler. In the "outside" world (forest and beach so far), you wander around looking for the little blue glowing balls that you have to collect to open the "cubes". This part is focused on exploration and observation (you don't have any indications). Inside the "glass cubes", you have to put the big yellow ball in the yellow area to exit the cube. There are platforms and switches which change the orientation of the cube (and so, the direction of the gravity).

I've played with the x360 controller which is very fit for this type of gameplay: L stick to move, R stick for the camera, LB to attract objects and RB to repell objects. The game is based on the Unreal Engine (UDK) but i've experienced some stuttering issues due to in-game loadings (I hope it will get better with a patch). The game is best played at a slow pace so take your time, chill out (maybe take some drugs) and you're in for some good experience :o)

Zoltan999: Yes, it really does. Not my cup of tea either, but as soon as I started watching the video, it immeadiately reminded me of these old puzzle box games I came across frequently as a kid...most notably in boxes of cracker jacks.

Stooner: Yeah.. but in these puzzle box games you're not the ball, and the damn box doesn't keeps turning around you to make you dizzy.. ;p
... also you didn't have to suck other balls (!!) in order to advance...
LOL..perhaps this game should have a "Mature" rating

tinyE: You Bastard! I'm having horrific childhood flashbacks looking at that picture.

Oh man, 20 years of therapy down the drain! :(
Double up on the prozac bro! Those were good prizes back then...now you get shit, a crappy fake pony tattoo if you're lucky. My riding buddies really give me crap when I show up at the bar to sling a few brews down, sporting one of those on my arm
This looks really interesting.
Getting real tired of Indie Puzzle/Platform games and adventure games on here.

Some more variety would be appreciated.
When I saw the pictures I instantly thought that it looks like a modern take on Marble Madness.

The concept looks interesting from the trailer. Time to see if there are any video previews of the game yet.
Game looks great!

I'll definitely get it if someone can tell me if the puzzles are at least somewhat challenging and it has a decent length?

Thanks in advance!
