A game where you punch stuff with your fists!

Fist Puncher, an insane comedic brawler with pixelated graphics, cow throwing, and bucket-loads of weird humor, is available 60% off on GOG.com. That's only $3.99 for the next 48 hours!

Fist Puncher is one of those games so full of explosive insanity, that it's not easy to describe to the general public. Let's try either way. There is this team of violent vigilantes, led by the neurosurgeon / martial arts master / philanthropist / macho / rockstar / crime fighter, Doctor Karate. With the help of a disgracefully doping ex-athlete Steroid Jackson, the masked Beekeeper, and deadly derby girl Hella Fistgerald, as well as a whole cast of other deranged keepers of justice, he takes on a evil syndicate led by the kingpin of crime known as The Milkman. The crew blasts through the city of Las Cruces, turning chaos and mayhem into more chaos and mayhem, in the good old tradition of bombing stuff for the sake of peace and justice. In the process, they will throw cows at goons, participate in ostrich races, and crush Nazi birthday parties. OK, how's that for a description? Nope, still doesn't do the game justice. There you go: see the madness with your own eyes!

Fist Puncher Hollywood Cinematic Michael Bay Trailer: Extended Director's Cut

Beat'em all are more about sound and platformers more about visuals.
Anyone know what the story is with the boss and the stage (uh... the level, not the stage in the background) at around 1:36 in that trailer?

Oh him? He's the boss of Sexy Town :D
You know what'd be funny? To see a 'blue text' say: "Don't buy this! This is a bad/really mediocre game!" =P It's their job to sell their products, so I take anything what Judas has to say about a new release with a huge chunk of salt. The only time I could potentially be swayed is if it looks like something I might be really tempted by and I read about certain mechanics, gameplay, or features that may increase my interest. Other than that I treat what is said as regular sales people speak. Sorry, Judas, that's just the way it is.

That said, you'll never be able to sell this game to me. Yes, even for free.

Even though I played through the entire game and thoroughly enjoyed myself? Damn, harsh :P

In my own defense, I don't really try to sell anyone anything, I just like letting people know about a game. Granted, I am fully aware that my being a staffer puts a certain bias on things but what can I do? :D
Why in the world haven't they made a full game out of Dad 'n' Me?!? It's been HOW many years now?
Okay, I'm just gonna come right out and say it: The game is ugly. It looks like something a one-man development team put together for a shareware game back in the early 90's. But I bought it, I've played about an hour's worth, and I've got to say, Judas ain't lying: It's fun!

It plays a lot like River City Ransom as opposed to Final Fight or Streets of Rage, and the boss battles are boring as dirt, but the game is a pleasant time-waster with solid controls (especially if you have a gamepad). Is it game of the year material? No! But is it worth $3.99? Yes, in my mind, absolutely. If you're a fan of the genre it'd even be worth $5.99, although I don't think I would have bought it for full price (beat-em-ups don't normally sell me).

Heck, I've even grown to like the fugly art. It's a little MS Paint-y, but it has its own charm. Of course, I played a lot of crappy indie shareware games in my DOS days, so I'm pretty easygoing when it comes to appearance.

But mostly, I like playing it as Doctor Karate and coming up with good doctor puns.

"Your stupidity is terminal, let me prescribe some fist!"
Well, eh.. if graphics would be as nice as on the cover (I´ve excepted Shank-like graphics), I´d be buying.
That doesn´t mean this game is bad, of course.
Fists? Punching? Count me in!
I was expecting so much worse graphically from the comments here, doesn't look all that bad to me. Amazing name as well.

The second screenshot reminds me of the Radiohead music video (Just?) where they're all lying down in the street.
Kinda funny people are complaining about graphics on a site that, for the most part, sells older games with outdated graphics :P

Granted the art in this game could use some clean up, but it doesn't look as terrible as people claim.
A brawler with pixeled graphs? Pick, for free, Streets of Rage Remake.

I just watched the WTF video of Total Biscuit about this game and it's really different from my experience. The boss battle is really tedious in his vid, and yeah, 10 min to complete a stage is really too much. Personally, I'm all about finishing games so I set up the difficulty on easy and I think it gives a better experience because it gives a more arcade-feeling (for example, I completed this stage in under 3minutes). I feel the stages are better enjoyed as shorts bursts so maybe you could set up the difficulty lower (you still can get killed on easy by bosses and "hazardous levels").

Part of the fun lies also in the choice of character I think (the beekeeper seems rather dull, I don't know why totalbiscuit chose him). I haven't played the doc but I really like the girls moves which consists mainly of slide attacks, spin kicks which spreads harming hearts of love and the top is seducing a random bad guy so he becomes your sidekick.

JKHSawyer:
It's a common theme with some people on GOG that really baffles me. I always felt like acceptance of the not fancy side of appearances was par for the course around here, yet you never see an end to the complaining.
Why are their penises and vaginas censored with a black rectangle? Because of potential buyers from the USA, Australia and maybe UK?

We here in Europe don't have any problems with nudity at all.

If the developer would have a cheat, that would turn off the censorship, I would buy it in no time. Even, if the character has only one pixel wide phallus or two pixel wide vagina ...
