I caved to the siren's call and bought the whole Legacy of Kain series. (Actually I decided I would ever since they appeared on Summer's longest day). Anyway, since I never played these games, in what order should they be played?

joppo: Not exactly. Bundles that didn't appear so far will show up even if they contain games from those 4 companies, and if they repeat the bundles once more in the last day like they did on the Xmas promo those bundles will come up too.
TurnipSlayer said so (http://www.gog.com/forum/general/last_chance_to_get_60_games_50_off_each_in_the_nodrm_summer_sale/post15).

nijuu: He (that link)was referring to the Arma and Legacy of Kain bundles .Not to the games which have gone off sale which includes the Thief series which is back at its regular pricing. If im wrong , fine. Thats my interpretation of what was said.
It doesn't matter which one he was referring to, Thief and LoK for example are in the same situation: both are series that were pulled from the promo early on . The only difference is that LoK is its own bundle, while Thief is bundled with more games. And as you can see today LoK is on sale.

You definitely should. Gemini Rue alone is worth the price.
Wow. This just had to happen the week I find myself without any money. I've been dying to the play all the Wadjet Eye games. I played a little bit of Blackwell and loved it, but have not been able to own any of the Wadjet Eye games yet. Maybe someday.. :(

It would be amazing if GOG could get the portuguese-br voiceovers from Soul Reaver...

Are they any good? Most pt-br voiceovers I ever heard were awful, but companies started paying attention to our corner of the world not so long ago. I still have to come across good voiceovers tho (excluding Grim Fandango's).

I think it's pretty good (nasally, but good ;p).. I like especially the narrator (~4min) voice:

The narrator sounds good, but the only moment there was a need to synchronize audio and someone's mouth (02:22) the audio was hilariously late.
Good thing you don't need to see the narrator's mouth and Raziel doesn't have a jaw because I don't mind the occasional slip but it would be bad having it happen on every spoken line.

I don't remember having issues with that.. and I think this one is more of the uploader's fault..
but I was young and having fun, couldn't care less for that thing... ;p

excellent purchase you made, btw... ;p

I've played these games a few times, and in my opinion the best order to play is:

Blood Omen > Soul Reaver > Soul Reaver 2 > Defiance > Blood Omen2

This way, you get and introduction to Kain (BO) , follow this with the Raziel arc (SR, SR2, D) and finish with BO2 (which takes places long after the events of D... or before depending how you look on all that time-travelling mess ;)
PS. BO is not on GOG, so if you want the full experience, you should get it from somwhere else...
Wow, amused that everyone is talking so highly about the Wadjet games, had not even heard of the games or the company before today. Or possibly simply not paid attention. I do have all the Telltale Games though (bought for my younger nephews) and I am wondering if these are in the same vein? Hmmm...

Legacy of Kain titles are supposed to be awesome, story-wise. Never played them but I have always heard really good stuff about the game's story. The titles are ordered like this:

Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain
Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver
Soul Reaver 2
Blood Omen 2
Legacy of Kain: Defiance

But I do wonder why the original is missing.

Depending on their ages, probably not a good idea. IIRC, the Wadjet Eye games are a bit more mature. Definitely not anything like the Telltale games.

As usual: licensing troubles.

HypersomniacLive: Agreed.
Thanks for both replys. I had kinda figured it that way and probably had ignored them because of that, but thanks for taking the time to confirm that. They do seem like good, fun games, just not my gaming style. Thanks.
