Strike Suit Zero, a visually stunning revival of space combat sim genre, with many fresh gameplay ideas, featuring dynamic action, sleek spacecraft design, and mindblowing music, is now available today on GOG.com for 40% off. That's only $11.99!

A lot of games nowadays seem like a copy of a copy's copy. You know what to expect: better graphics, maybe some new features, even more movie-like appearance, new achievements. And it's OK, a lot of people dig this kind of simple entertainment: sit down, zero thinking, suit yourself.

And that's the reason we at GOG.com love indie devs. Because they are not afraid to go in a completely new direction. To try a genre that "just won't sell" because "there's no market demand". To get back to gaming roots. To go crazy. To make their gaming dreams come real. To make the game they want to play.

Strike Suit Zero is a visually stunning revival of the space combat sim genre. It's old school meets new school with huge battles, tight controls, and atmosphere straight from a mecha anime. You know this the moment when the mech launches dozens of rocket and they suspend in the air for a second before painting the skies with fire? That's Strike Suit Zero. A little bit more arcade than classic space sims like X-Wing vs TIE Fighter, but difficult enough to require some skill to progress. This is our kind of entertainment: suit up, zero in, strike down.

Grab your joystick and play Strike Suit Zero now on GOG.com for only $11.99. The discount will last until tomorrow, April 4 at 9:59 AM GMT.
Let me give a heads up to people who may be interested in this, it does not support Windows XP.

Also, what about its DLC? Any news on when it's arriving here?

Edit: Damn tags...

I'm not really into space sim but I might give it a try!
Mighty tempting but the price would be an indulgence for me right now.
Perfect timing. :D
Considering it... but DLC... when? (else I may have to get this the next time it pops up on Steam...since you can also get the soundtrack (for a few $ more))
Tempting but I'll pass for now.
I'm interested, but right now I have to be extra careful with money. I just bought a 150€ astronomical telescope (up to 675x magnification, I think), and a 300€ systems camera... and at the same time I should be saving up some money for our trip to Thailand in June. I'm currently at red, buying daily groceries and gasoline with a credit card. Not good!

Good thing I saw some people asking about DLC, maybe I'll wait for that too.

This game is awesome. I bought it when it came out and I found it to be in the same vein as Star Fox but a lot more hardcore. It's also not on rails. You get to free-roam the level you're on.

It is tough, though, and I can't really recommend it to people that aren't up for a challenge.
Attention GOG and Born Ready Games:

Add The Artbook and Soundtrack to your game for free if you want more people to buy your game, we do not care what you have and how much it Costs on Steam: It should be included with the Game here.

Thanks

You mean the KS $50 pledge reward? Unlike the $20 pledge reward, that is currently available here? Not to mention that the Artbook isn't available for sale on Steam, only as part of a package.

When GOG finally has a method in place to properly handle DLCs, the higher KS pledges (aka artbook and OST) may find their way here.

I don't think Universal would allow that .
Looks super cool! It also looks like I'll need a totally new computer just to have enough specs to see the intro movie. :p

When does Freespace 2 go on sale? :D Come to think of it, anyone have any copies of Gradius kicking around, or Galaga?

Ahh, a man after my own heart. I own a Meade 10" (250mm) SCT that unfortunately, hasn't seen the dark of night since my divorce. Just been way too busy (and tired) to go pulling it out in the evening as of late. I used to love pulling that out in the evenings and searching the sky for all it's gems. Your post has prompted me to go search for it in the attic, and dig out my old star charts. Who knows, I might even drag it out to a couple of my favorite viewing sites again.

Also, I have been to Thailand several times...dated a very sweet (and pretty) gal from up North in Chiang Mai for almost 3 years. I wasn't a big fan of Bangkok, and spent most of my time in the North...the wood carvings, temples and people are wonderful there...and of course the food, if you like Thai. Enjoy you lucky dog!

Give us a heads up when you find that giant asteroid headed toward us. Nothing flashy, just a simple "head up" will do.
