A dry, barren shell--that's what planet Earth was reduced to. By every definition we know this post-nuclear wasteland is incapable of sustaining life. However, the definition of life itself changed quite a bit over thousands of years. For what is life, if not movement, and thought, and determination to survive? Under the burned-out sky there's still plenty of that. There are beings as small as an insect and as huge as a mountain, awake and sentient or slumbering without a single thought or emotion--all of them made of metal, plastic, and glass, with batteries for hearts and brains of silicon. Some of them tend to think more than the others. One of them thinks too much. Horatio Nullbuilt ver. 5, a robotic philosopher. This is his story.
Primordia is a point-and-click adventure game, as classic as they get. It sports excellent, hand-drawn, pixelated graphics that make the game a unique aesthetic experience and draw the player into the grim and strange future of our planet. The puzzles vary from trivial as direct current circuit to hard as titanium alloy, but all of them keep well within the limits of logic and reason, and for the better part avoid tedious pixel-hunting. Intriguing and thought-provoking story and exceptionally well written dialog should satisfy the most demanding adventure gamers, and the brilliant voice acting and humor make this title feel like one of the classic gems of old. Highly recommended to every point-and-click fan!
