Made on the way.

Incredipede, a creative puzzle game sporting a remarkable woodcut printing art style, where you build your own creature of muscle and bone, and navigate it through twisted obstacle courses, is available 33% off on GOG.com. That's $9.99 for the next 24 hours.

Sometimes, to fully apprecciate an indie game, it's nice to know a bit about its developers. This is such a case. Colin and Sarah Northway worked on this game for four years, and in that time they lived in twelve different, more or less exotic countries. A part of game's unique mechanics could have been programmed in a small Tokyo apartment. Some of the ideas came to the Northways while they were having their morning coffee in a street bar in Istanbul. They state, however, that the city life isn't doing any favors to their creative process and the best parts of their unique game were probably made in secluded beach bungalows or woodland cottages. GOG.com has a tradition of sending holiday cards to the devs of the games we sell. Last December, when we were putting an address sticker on the envelope meant for the Northways we just had to smile, knowing it will probably never reach them. Colin and Sarah Northway, Somewhere in the World.

With an origin story like that, it's no wonder that Incredipede looks and feels different. You'll be crafting a body of meat and bone around an adorable, if not slightly creepy eyeball-creature, and making it crawl, swirl, jump, and fly across devious obstacle courses. There's a certain "eww-factor" to the game's aesthetics, but once you get used to the view of bare bones scraping the ground you might just fall in love with the unique woodcut printing art style provided to the Northways by a passionate insect photographer, Thomas Sahan. There's plenty of puzzling levels to challenge your wits in the main game, but once you're done with them you can create your own and share them over the internet, or attempt completing puzzles created by others. This way, you can stay in the oddly fascinating world of Incredipede forever!

If you like puzzles and originality in design, you just have to get Incredipede for only $9.99 on GOG.com. The offer lasts until Thursday, March 21, at 10:59AM GMT.

Oh, and happy equinox, everyone!
It may be a good game, but I'll pass for now. Even if it was 60% off I wouldn't buy it today.
My wallet was desperate for a break.

Edit: coherence added to my ramblings

That's pretty sweet tradition :).
Was it updated to the improved version available on Steam ?
Not going to lie. For a Gem Promo, 33% off seems a bit weak.

Despite that, that is $5 off and it's a fantastic game. I fully recommend picking it up.

Now, I'd just like to know if we are getting the Steam updates or not. :/

Hm, that's a little bit of a flaccid promo =/

Interesting game though, (and very striking visual style!)

Also: Tokyo.

I was intrigued by this promo until I saw the price.

Yes, yes we are, have no worries there :D

Keep in mind that once you buy the game, you'll get all the official updates :D
Great game. If you like logical games where you have to construct stuff (like say World of Goo or all those bridge building games) you should feel right at home here. Additionally you get to control your creation directly after building it which makes the game IMHO more fun than the other ones. Also the presentation, audio and video, is absolutely amazing. And the social features are pretty awesome, giving you the ability to watch other players' solutions or even "borrow" their creatures for a level if you get stuck - you can also upload your creature and let friends who don't even have the game play one level with it. Pretty awesome stuff. 10$ is still a lot considering that this is a promo but if you're into these "construction puzzle" games it's worth it.

You know, if you implemented the changelog on the gamecard (and preferably also in the game's entry in "My Account") that many people have been asking for for a long time, you could avoid a lot of these questions.

So it's not like one of those suggestion boxes that directly lead into a shredder? I'm disappointed.

We read everything and THEN we shred it :P

(disclaimer: we don't shred anything* :D)

* Because we never print them. Be green, keep it on the screen!
Thank you.

Been interested in playing this since its release, but sadly, the price is still too high for me right now. =/
Got Incredipede on day 1 and it's an amazing game. Totally worth the price.
I'm considering this one on steam also since it's compatible with linux there (or at least will be someday)
