Welcome to relativity!

FEZ, an original and surprisingly deep perspective-twisting puzzle-platformer with an huge open world full of secret areas for you to explore, is available 50% off on GOG.com for Windows and Mac OS X. That's only $4.99 for the next 24 hours!

FEZ is a puzzle-platformer like no other. First of all, its gameplay mechanics come with a perspective-changing twist, that make every stage of the game not one, but four 2D landscapes. You'll have to use that to your advantage and figure out how to make seemingly impossible jumps. That's just scratching the surface, though. There's no telling just how many complex and original puzzles have been hidden in the world of FEZ. That might be the first game in quite some time, that will make you take notes while you play, so you can crack some of the game's secrets and understand its strange languages. There's so many layers and levels to the world you'll be exploring, that you probably won't see the half of it at your first play-through! Pair that with incredibly diverse level-design, and charming pixel-art (ummm... sorry, trixel-art) graphics, and what you get is one of the most remarkable titles of our time. Be sure not to miss it!

Get cracking at some of the most ingenious puzzles in platformer history, in the
mind-and-matter-bending gem of a game, FEZ, for only $4.99 on GOG.com. Don't wait, because the 50% off discount offer lasts only until Thursday, October 17, at 9:59AM. That's also the final promo you can match with our special offer that grants you a FREE copy of The Witcher: Enhanced Edition with your every purchase.
I have it on humble bundle (so in my Evil Steam library currently). I'm not huge on plat-formers but I've heard good things about the game, developer antics aside so I'll probably grab a GOG copy.

Hell I'll get another code for the witcher which may end up being the US currency once their economy goes down the toilet. That bottle of milk will be 2 witchers thanks.

As for the developer yes he probably is an arse, though I think people jumped on the chance to blow things up bigger than they needed to be, people are like that. If I can buy the odd game from Microsoft publishing I think I can live with my purchase here. Microsoft are awful, if you license IP from them part of the deal is you put DRM on your game. Now that is Evil and arse behaviour!

What stands out about Fez is how it all comes together. Yeah, it's a platformer, and whoop-dee-doo you can flip the perspective around to change the nature of the puzzle, but really it's how solid and polished the mechanics come together that make the game.

With all the complaints about Fish. I'll just say that Kanye West has a temper, but that doesn't mean that I boycott him out of principle to not listening to anything made by anyone with barely controlled emotions.

It will really be a shame if Fez 2 seriously doesn't happen.
Still no.

lugum: then i was wrong, thought i read it somewhere, was right about his behavior though.
Not exactly, you're half-right.
It was the XBLA version he didn't want to patch because Microsoft charges either 5 grand or 50 grand(can't remember) to patch it and he didn't want to fork over that much.

As to whether or not to buy something because the creator is less-than-pleasant, I find that to be silly. James Cameron has a reputation for being an asshole, I suppose you guys are going to skip Avatar 2 as well as Fez?

Avoid at all cost if your computer has an Intel integrated GPU, it is unplayable and there is no work around.

You're right, the guy that directed this: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0081505/ movie was a complete loon. Definitely better not watch that or you might catch loon cooties or something.
Personally Fez is one of the best games of the last 6 years, and one of the best Indie games out there, as long as you like platforming AND puzzles (they are not as hard as La Mulana ones, but they aren´t as easy as most games out there either). Graphics are awesome, music is awesome, gameplay is awesome... If you think you may like it, go get it, seriously.

Not suffered any game breaking glitch yet, but that doesn´t mean it can´t happen to you. It´s a pitty there isn´t something like a demo for it on PC.
Buy Fez. Now.
Does it come with its own spreadsheet? ;)
Fez does work on Intel integrated graphics cards on certain conditions. I have Intel HD 3000 on macbook air 2011 Mountain Lion 10.8.5.

Mountain Lion 10.8.5 is the keyword here. Apple releases GPU driver updates with operation system updates and I do not know of any means to update your Intel HD drivers otherwise. Based on what I've found googling, Fez DOES NOT WORK on Lion. Or not updated Mountain Lion.

I have played the game on Intel HD 3000, it works. Haven't found any bugs so far. I'm not very far into the game, just bought it today, so that might change. I hope not :).

Don't know about Windows, maybe updating GPU drivers does the trick there too.

Hope it helped.
I'll buy it but I wish gog could keep all the money cuz I'm reluctant to support a dev with his kind of personality.
Author behind this wonderful game is kind of neurotic person, still better than tourette syndrome. Do you listen music for group or vocalist? Do you like discriminating neurotic people just because they are the way they live and think, with kind of disabillity? Of course trolls will fed on what he speaks or do, don't be like that here if you aren't one of them.

I think it's overstated how bad Fish is in comparison to other game devs. Is Fish a great guy? Probably not. Are there guys like Fish on just about every dev team? Yeah, likely. Fish is different only because he's a bit more impulsive to speak and since he's an indie dev, there's no publisher to tell him to shut up or lose his job.

htown1980: Not sure too many people will pick this up given that it was in the last HIB.

I am looking forward to playing it sometime though.

lugum: Or the attitude from the guy who made it. Then again it might be reason for some to just buy it now.
Haha, this. This is not the type of game I'd play anyway, but I refuse to even look at it :P

Hmmm..ok...what? I have TS, as does one of my sons. I'm not taking offense; I just really have no clue what you're trying to say here, and I'm intrigued. Does the dev have TS, you mean?
