bansama: I'm still waiting for proper mod support. Stopped playing over a year ago because of all the hassles with adding mods back every time there was an update.
Get MagicLauncher. I think I did the whole unzip/rezip nonsense once before I found out about that.

Now if only I could understand how MystCraft worked, that might be my next step.

ne_zavarj: I only installed my purchased copy for my 7 years old nephew . He loves it .
My nephew loves it as well. I was actually kinda amazed, it's apparently all the rage amongst his friends too.

Makes me happy that it isn't all action games for him. I even gave him my old computer for a Christmas present just so he could play minecraft at home on it.

This. Though I use the Tekkit pack, but as far as I know, the Technic pack is the same, just with a few more mods thrown in. Finding Tekkit really revitalized the game for me.

I only install Forge compatible mods . ( drag and drop the zip or jar file into the mods folder ) . I think both Modloader and the unzip/rezip nonsense is out of date .

I haven't played vanilla single player minecraft in a while, I do play pretty much vanilla smp though. Only because I have a decent server to play on.

But is MystCraft a server or a client mod? For that matter, is Forge a server or client mod?
