Very good half game, but then as it starts to get going you're railroaded into the ending.

Trilarion: Apart from quite a lot of grinding, this is a really nice setting and plays well. I liked it.
I don't know about grinding. Sure, combat is a very important part of the gameplay, but compared to other RPGs there aren't that many battles to be fought and I believe there were only three small areas were enemies kept respawning at all. The game is heavily focused on (mostly linear) story-telling, not so much on random combat to earn xp (and most of the time you're quite overpowered anyway, so there's no need to go looking for them).
Played it on XBox. And not sure if the SE is worth the money (it was an Monk and some items and moves if i remember correct). Anyway with my slow and limited con i better buy the retail version.

xxxIndyxxx: it's actually a fun game with a good story. Only problem i ever had with it was that normal was way too easy and hard was way too hard. But that could just be me ;) It's worth 10$ so this discount should make it a bit easiers for those who still doubt if they want this game or not.
Hard is not to hard. But new game+ aka Jade Master is WAAAAAAAYS to hard! Even two normal ghosts can really burst you down!
Oh, and @anybody here: This is an exellent price for an awesome game. Go get it!

Dzsono: Are there any 3rd party mods/patches/graphic packs for this?
You can unlock the framerate in the .ini-Data and force SuperSampling via driver.
I recommend doing both to everybody who got a System with performance ~q6600 & 8800 GT or i3+ GTX 650/ HD 7770!

Image quality with 4xSGSSAA is just brilliant, gots nearly perfect with 8xSGSSAA and IS perfect with 2x2 OGSSAA+4xSGSSAA!

But there aren´t any standalone tweaks!

SpiderFighter: Terrific game, and well worth the full price, let alone on sale. Plus, the sequence with John Cleese as Sir Roderick Ponce Von Fontlebottom the Magnificent Bastard is as good as anything he's ever done.

Just be aware that it does start out fairly linear with a TON of cut scenes before it truly gets going (once you hit the Imperial City the side quests and branching paths appear).
No point in explaining why I liked this game so much when somebody did it before me :-)

Great game! Some tweaks: Jade Empire PCGamingWik including unlocking FPS, widescreen and how to avoid a stutter effect.

A mod post.

You can also use SweetFX for some nice graphical improvements, here's an example: Jade Empire SweetFX by Omnipotus

Well, no problem, but Nirth gave a better answer.
Last time I looked for Jade Empire Mods it hasn´t got anything interesting, so I feel a bit ashamed that I only gave you my old information...
Wasn't this on a gem promo recently ? Or am I imagining things ?

You are imagining things.
It was in the EA Exclusives promo though, also 60% off a little less than a month ago.

For a moment I was confused too, but then I realized that Jade Empire was in the EA Exclusives promo and at the same time we had Bard's Tale gem promo and I mixed those two. Perhaps you had the same problem?
