Walk like an Egyptian.

Children of the Nile Complete, a visually appealing and complex, yet accessible, historical city-building sim set in the colorful and fascinating ancient Egypt, is available 60% off on GOG.com. That's only $3.99 for the next 24 hours!

With power, comes responsibility. With power given by the gods themselves, comes the greatest responsibility of them all. A Pharaoh is a god, walking the Earth, and it's not only the earthly fate of the people that rests in his hands. He is to lead them into and in the afterlife as well. He needs to make sure, he'll never be forgotten, because if the memory of him is lost, lost are the souls of his worshipers and subjects. The fates of the Pharaoh and the Children of the Nile are bound forever--in this life and the next. It is up to him to provide stability, wealth, and safety of the people in both worlds. Building monuments to ensure immortality, while taking care of the mortal flesh--now, isn't that a task worthy of the son of the gods?

Children of the Nile Complete is a city-builder game that combines high level of detail and accessibility in gameplay. Starting your dynasty of Pharaohs is quite easy, making its glory last for generations, however, will prove challenging. The game's appealing visuals make your efforts feel very rewarding, as you see your loyal subjects prospering, the land flourishing, and your city growing--all a testament to your god-given power. The Complete edition offered here, contains both the basic Children of the Nile game, and its Alexandria expansion, to provide you with dozens of hours of deep and realistic gameplay.

Do you feel the calling to become the representative of the gods on Earth, start your own dynasty, and lead the Children of the Nile through many generations to come? Better get going, then! Get the game for only $3.99 and set out for Egypt today! The offer lasts until Tuesday, August 6, at 9:59AM GMT.
One more question, apart from graphics are there any MAJOR differences between COTN and the GOG COTN Enhanced Edition? I've got the demo and it seems pretty cool but I'm still a little on the fence here.

The game card redesign is interesting. There was a post within the last couple weeks where someone asked when GOG was going to add KKND2 since they already had KKND1. Of course, several people posted in reply that GOG already had it (there was apparently something strange going on with the search function that caused one of the games to show up when searched for but not the other). Regardless, I remember suggesting that maybe GOG should move the game series list above the GOG Mix list on the game card so that people would more quickly notice sequels, etc, when browsing games. This wasn't exactly what I had in mind, but it does at least serve that purpose.

Hmm, I notice that SWAT 3 is not connected to Police Quest 1-4 or SWAT 1+2. Were they before?

Edit: Answered in thread for game series feature change by TurnipSlayerr.

Nope, I have a custom icon, because I hate the default one ;P

Endzville: Looks fine as is to me, to be honest. Screenshots could be a little bigger, I suppose, but it doesn't really matter since you can click on them the same way as before. Plus, they've not only added a section at the right where you can easily find other games in a series but also done the same for DLC, which no longer takes up room on your games page anymore as if they were standalone games.

Anyway, for $4 I may pick this up. Not a particularly huge fan of city builders though, so who knows?

wolfsite: My only complaint is that the game page is off balance now, when you scroll down you have this huge space to the right of the reviews which really takes the focus away from the reviews, they need to either expand the review section to balance the page better or put something new there.
Gotta agree.

The whole page is poorly designed with far too much wasted space and, on my massive monitor, looks ridiculous.

Usually love almost everything GOG does, but not this. Looks a lot worse than before so, no, it's not growing on me :)

Searching for KKND you get now no results. So removing something seems also to fix something ;-) (while the correct name for the second game is still KKND2 :-/)
This game never clicked with me the way Caesar III, Pharaoh, Zeus and Emperor did and it has a rather high base price so I'll pass for now.

You may be right about the game's name being KKND2, but it is registered on GOG as "Krush Kill 'N' Destroy 2: Krossfire" and if you search for "Krush" it appears as it should. So no, nothing broken, just incorrectly registered.

I know, the funny part about the story yyahoo mentioned was that someone asked for the second game while he only found the first one (because by searching KKND you only found the first one). So it already worked for the first game before the update. It's indeed nothing broken, they just forgot to add tags for both games I hope you didn't read my posting as a rant, because it was just meant as a notice to an old story and nothing negative, just something funny that gave me a little smile (that they fixed the problem by removing something) ;-)
