What do you think? So far, I think the best mod for Mount & Blade is this one.

I haven't played my Mount & Blade for a while now but I did play an earlier version of the Last days which was absolutely fantastic. Doesn't have as many features as the other mods but the depth of the Tolkkien mythology really shines through.

Sword of Damocles is another one I enjoyed a lot before, in terms of adding a lot of new features. A quick perusal of the current version shows they've added even more kingom management etc. options.

You definitely need a mod however, because the native game although having the most amazing melee fighting enging, quickly leaves you with not much new to do.
I myself am very fond of Storm of the Three Kingdoms for Warband. I don't think it adds terribly much new, though. 1866 for M&B is good (what's up with Tull?). If you're a fan of Berserk, well, Revenge of the Berserk for M&B is pretty damn good.

I'm floundering about in The Wedding Dance for M&B but can't figure much out. Wish there was a manual or wiki for it.
I loved the "Prophesy of Pendor" on both M&B and M&B Warband. Fantasy setting, lots of brand new units specific to each faction, huge battles with named ennemies... It adds quite a lot of nice things but seriously increase the overall difficulty.

So, if you don't like eating dust from time to time, simply avoid it (but that would be a shame!).

Other than that, I'd say "Star Wars Conquest" - for M&B - (I liked playing a laser saber wielding wookie, with his blaster rifle on his back, riding his speeder) and "1866" - for M&B-.

Oh yes I was trying to remember the name of that other mod I used to play alot, it was prophesy of pendor. I'll second that recommendation
It seems these games are not so popular. :(

Really? Everyone on here can't stop talking about how great they are. I actually grabbed some copies but haven't played them yet.
That one sucks. A lot.
A mod I liked but I think stopped being updated for awhile (seems like it may have been picked back up) was Native Expansion. Unlike other mods that change the setting, time period, or storyline, Expansion just shifted and improved the overall gameplay. So weapons have refined stats, armies have better composition, and you have more campaign and battle options.
I don't like total conversion mods for M&B or Warband but I have tons of mods and tweaks installed. Graphic mods, troop mods, item mods, tons of gameplay tweaks. I really can't be arsed to list them all.

Vitek: This!
Installed Prophesy of Pendor on this recommendation, and although I am coping okay, I'm finding it rather hard to make money and tackle almost any group of enemies!

I do like the challenge though, but I may have to check a guide or something to see if I'm missing something.

Combat is certainly far harder, and I haven't got the hang of formations yet.
Another vote for Prophesy of Pendor. But as the modders say, this is only recommended for experienced players. It is designed to challenge.
