Torchlight FREE for the next 48 hours, 500+ Games 50% off until July 5, Daily Deals up to 85% off!

The sun is shining, the weather is sweet, let's begin GOG's amazing humongous 2013 #NoDRM Summer Sale. Most of the games in our DRM-free catalog (that's 500+ titles!) are available half-price until July the 5th. You can also expect special Daily Deals, allowing you to grab bundles of games (or in some cases individual titles) up to 85% off! To add a cherry on top that huge, delicious summer gaming cake, for the next 48 hours we're giving away Torchlight, a fantastic hack-and-slash action-RPG, absolutely free to all GOG.com users! We have a lot of exciting deals in store for you, so remember to check our site frequently.

Normally, this paragraph would serve to further encourage you to go crazy with our extravagant and exciting offers. We'll get to that. But there's something important we'd like to address first. At GOG.com. we talk a lot about the importance of giving gamers the ability to play their games where they want, whenever they want, and how they want. Gamers should be able to play their games on any device they own in any location, no matter the Internet quality. There is only one way to ensure that: No DRM.

In the last few months, there has been a lot of outcry from gamers over DRM and how it is changing our favorite form of entertainment. If it keeps growing, it may well take a large part of the fun out of gaming. As anti-DRM crusaders, we're very glad to see that the issue of restrictive digital rights management has become an item of public debate, and we want to make sure that our #NoDRM stance is clear. None of the games in our sale have DRM, and none of our games ever will.

Once again: More than 500 games 50% off until July 5. Daily Deals bringing the discount even up to 85%. Torchlight distributed as a free gift to all GOG.com users until Thursday, June 20, at 12:59PM GMT. We'll throw exciting offers at you daily, so consider following us on Twitter, , and YouTube just to make sure you're not missing out. That's it! The 2013 #NoDRM Summer Sale is now on. Have fun and remember to support the #NoDRM movement on GOG.com and elsewhere!
The sale on the individual games, when do they expire? At the end of the sale?

Because I want to buy Gothic 2, and I'm not sure whether to get it now (if the discount is going to end soon) or wait (for a daily sale or some such thing)

ThomNG: The Nordic Games team wishes you a great summer sale - of course with our catalogue included: http://www.gog.com/catalogue?search=Nordic+Games

Happy GOG.com #noDRM Summer Sale!

Stay tuned!
Please bring more good old games to GOG! :)
Can't wait for a Legacy of Kain bundle of some sort so I can get them even cheaper. Once my paycheck hits I'm gonna be grabbing Resonance, Clive Barker's Undying, and Priomordia and maybe Blackwell Bundle if it goes in a massive bundle with the others at some point. So much for only having 7 PC games in the immediate backlog :(.
Hmm, I am really tempted to try Soul Reaver at this price point. Hennig's writing seems to click with me. In which order should one play it?

hansappel: Why would anyone go through the trouble to pirate a game and risk irritating "virtual CD drive" programs, .exe-files infected with virii and other malsware, trouble with cracks and CD key generators, etc when one can just buy DRM games from GoG for almost no charge at all?
Because the pirate DRM cracks work in Linux too? :)

Don't wait too long - The Square-Enix games (And a couple of other publishers) are only on offer for a week.

Yeah, release order is the best. Even with BO2 thrown in there, which kinda screws up the story a little. They try to cover up in SR3, so you might be confused if you don't play BO2 first. And really BO2 isn't as bad a game as people make it out to be.
Nice. :)

Thank you Runic Games and GOG for the gift. Looks like I will keep an eye on the site for a while. :D

Kristian: A complete lists of all the games on sale that I don't already own would be very nice right about now!

Bloodygoodgames: Hit the 'all games' button. It will show you every game on sale, with ALL the games you own blacked out. Cool, eh? :)
On mine it doesn't. It just shows all the games as normal (see attachment, I own all the games shown).

Not only that, they've removed the "owned" class so my hide owned games script doesn't work! Are you frickin' kidding me?!

I remember that GOG did that the last year too. I guess they are dealing with too much traffic to leave also this function on?

Yeah, all those styles are dependant on either the "own" or "owned" class, but despite clearing my cache, I seem to get some of the default list to display as owned (when changing sort order, the same games are no longer shown as owned - and games further down the default order are not either).

On the attached image, the only pack I do not own is Quest for Glory 1-5.

It's really weird that they would disable that script - it just makes it harder for people to determine what stuff on sale they should buy first :)

Indeed.. and now I can't buy anything.. because I have no idea what GOGs I own!

Yes, it is inconvenient. I would have almost passed Omikron because I thought I have already bought it.
