It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

P1na: Just to know, am I the only one with trouble when trying to buy stuff right now, or is it a widespread issue? Because if it's me, I need to figure something out before the promos run out.
Dude, you are in Nicaragua now? I thought you were in Germany. Maybe your credit card company thinks someone from Nicaragua got your credit card info and is trying to buy more GOGs?

I was, key being was. Since I was in Germany in July, I've been in Spain, Slovakia, Belgium, France, US (just for a few hours though), Costa Rica and now Nicaragua. Not counting my own home, of course. I make it a point to be hard to locate.

That is actually a pain in the ass for buying in steam most of the time, it often blocks paypal because the billing address doesn't fit my current location and whatnot, but GOG has usually been quite forgiving on the matter. Until my bank apparently blocked it a couple months ago, but I haven't been home since it happened to talk it out with them.

On the upper side, the benefit of being abroad is that when I buy (when I can buy) on steam now, I can pay in $, which gives me an extra discount to the usual € price.
POSSIBLE WORKAROUND:

I had the exact same issue during the "Fall Insomnia Sale".
The same "...could not be verified..." came on when trying to pay, didn't matter if I chose Paypal or credit card.
I made the back --> "Process order now" -loop several times but the outcome was the same every time.

For me, this helped:

I cloned the tab which had the above announcement. First it was exactly as the original tab, but after a few seconds there came a different announcement that said "Your payment attempt has been declined". When I then clicked "back" and arrived again at the payment tab and clicked "process order now", it actually went to Paypal and I could complete the payment.
I had this problem twice and twice this worked.
BTW, I used Opera browser, not sure if this works in other browsers...or maybe I wouldn't have had this problem at all if I'd used for example Firefox..?

I don't have the slightest clue as WHY this worked and don't ask why I decided to clone the page in the first place.
Call it a hunch.

Hope this helps somebody else.
