Here's hoping the 54 reviewers and counting don't spoil things for the rest of us. Seriously, though, why are there 54 reviews, and why were there so many before launch as well? -_-;

I wholeheartedly agree.

How can someone rate & review a game they've only seen trailers for? It kinda helps to have played the damn thing...and finishing it only makes a rating & review even more reputable. I mean, hell, I'm a "turn-based combat" guy, you don't see me giving a 1-star rating & poor review to every RPG that doesn't offer turn-based combat (which would be equally as bad as giving 5-stars & a great review to a game I've only seen in trailers).

And gamers complain about professional reviewers being biased...

When were the reviews posted? The Polish CE edition unlocked a day ago, so I guess it's conceivable that some people may have finished the game already. I honestly don't understand why people race through RPGs though. I like to take my time (and also don't generally have more than 2 or 3 hours in any given day to play games). I figure I'll be at least 3 weeks before I finish this one.

I was disappointed that Mr. Gog was allowing people to post reviews of the game here before it was even out. I'm all for freedom of speech, but posting reviews before a game is out, or on other versions is hardly what I think of when I think free speech.
50+ reviews is a lot more than some older GOGs have. If that's the number of reviews the game has when even pirates shouldn't have had enough playtime to properly review it, well, it's pretty much a sea of spam and it may be hard to find actual reviews worth reading in the future.

Not one of these is an actual review. The following individuals could've been more helpful simply by not submitting a review at all, but instead chose to spam the reviews section with unfounded praise, random comments, replies to other reviewers, and complaints. Pretty much everything that doesn't comprise a review.

Perhaps some of you were well-meanining, and thought spamming the page with "Best RPG ever made" and "I bought two copies" was helpful, would boost the review count, and therefore would increase awareness and inform other people that it's a good game they should get. Instead, anybody who visits will find over 50 pointless reviews, which could only have a negative impact (i.e. they could think GOG themselves posted a bunch of fake reviews to promote sales).

Please, submit your jeers to the following members of the Review Hall of Shame! Be sure to blacklist the opinions of anything these individuals have to say should you meet them in the future, as it will probably be useless, unnecessary, and entirely unhelpful:

I began to report these reviews as spam, but in the end I gave up. There are soo many.

Same here. >_>
maybe some of them are posted by game testers who worked on the project... can't say it's highly likely, but it's a thought.
I guess it's a side effect of promoting a game with arguments like pre-purchase and pre-loading.

Some of them might be, but when the review begins with "I am looking forward to this game", or something similar, it's deffinetly not a review.
OMG, thank yous, can't installs, forum-like posts without a word about the actual game... I've reported it all as spam, I do hope GOG will clean up this mess.
GOG really shouldn't allow the submission of either ratings or reviews by people who don't own the game on GOG and certainly not before release.

Well, all 54 out of 54 reviewers that I listed had nothing constructive to say (the closest thing to that was the person who said it doesn't have 16:10, and you don't need to be a playtester to know that. Plenty of people complained about downloading the game, and one person said something in Spanish with the word "crack" in there somewhere...), so even if one of them was a game tester, they didn't say anything that constituted a review. Not one of them. Cut the optimism. ;)
"Bought one on steam long time ago, then i found gog had one aswell. And gotta support gog + the creators of witcher :) "

"The Game only supports 16:9 Resolution. So you'll see black bars on top and bottom of the screen if you use Resolutions like 1280*1024 or other 4:5 / 16:10 Resolutions.
Allmost 20% of the screen will be unused!

While they are playin', i'll need to wait few more hours <sad panda> "

"Cant play because of the god awful GoG downloader and "browser downloader" options and im getting a refund as well as never using GoG again. "

"I bought the game in Steam... And I am quite confused now. Cuz I can't preload on steam yet... I am sure the game will be amazing, but I am not sure if I should maybe cancel my preorder on Steam and buy it from here... The price is the same after all. "

"Thank you so much.
The studios from eastern Europe bring us a new wave of great european games, so much better than US and Japanese games, because european developpers love their games, that's not just a business.
Thank you! Merci beaucoup !

"Best RPG ever made. "

"Until now I have exclusively bought games on steam. The DRM free attitude that CD Project is taking has converted me =)
Steam is amazing, but GOG has kicked it up a notch. Pity that many old games on GOG are relatively expensive for their age. "

"...and GOG is my favorite store on the Citadel.™
Long live DRM-free awesomesauce ! Viva la revolucion ! Get this masterpiece, you won't regret it. "

"gg guys we need more company like you.
keep doing your perfect work! "

"Once_a_witcher,_forever_a_witcher!__What_happened_to_my_space_bar? "

"Regardless of temporary inability to play this games (release date is only 2 days away!!) I am sure that this is a TRUE MASTERPIECE! If this game turns out to be bad (impossible) I am a RETARTD then) Love u CD project! "

"FFS it's the 17th of May! Where the fuck is my game!
I WANTS IT! "
They're ALL like this. Go on and pick, which one of these people is a game tester, and who worked on the project? Here's hoping it's none of these people, or GOG help us all...

I would agree with you on TW2 but due to the fact a lot of people have played the entire GOG catalogue already there is a wealth of experience to be shared with someone who is purchasing the game for the first time. I appreciate that I knew not to buy Master of Orion 3 without a new wave of dissappointed reviewers having to buy it. I would like to see GOG flex its muscles a little more with rule breakers, though.
