Put simply - if the single player & co-op component was separate to the multiplayer component and had no micro-transaction integration or DRM of any kind, then perhaps and was available separately to the online multiplayer component (so only the SP & co-op portions of the game were offered here), then perhaps.

As it is, there's so little information about what the single player will even be like so far I can not possibly answer that question for sure at this time.

Also, unless I'm mistaken it seems that you may be involved with the game in some way. Coming here and stating that you were, then asking your question would have gone down a lot better with me than trying to make it look like you were not if this is the case.

Any game portion containing DRM, micro-transactions, upcoming paid for DLC etc. does not belong anywhere near GOG, in my opinion. That's just not what it's about here. The few games here that have had DLC in the past (wherever possible) have it all included.

Based on what I've seen so far it seems like this would be much more suited for the likes of Steam whenever it is finally released. (Similar to what has been done with EVE Online on Steam).

My $0.02.

Euro, the OP, is only involved in the game as a passionate pledger, as are a few of us posting in this thread ourselves. Nothing more, nothing less

@shane-o
Thank you for clarifying that for him :)

@BTCentral
I believe the SP is separate in the sense that there's no transactions and I also THINK it might be DRM
free, seeing as the DRM is only really "needed" in terms of MP. But what I do not understand is that you'd
want half a game. Or, well, of course SQ42 is fully featured, but with the MP you get many options too.
They might just make a separate portion just for SQ42. I believe they've done the same in reverse;
where some packages don't have SQ42, but only SC :). So perhaps if it was brought up on the forums
they'd go through with it.

The SQ42 campaign is purposely kept under wraps as they really don't want to give things away.
But it should be "Wingcommander-like" :). You know, branching missions, different outcomes and lots
of action :).

There is going to be more things added to the SQ42 campaign. A "Mission-disk". Early backers have
got this down, so they'll get it when it's out. But I'm not sure if it's DLC or an expansion.

Fallen_Zen: You don't know if you donated anything? :)

MaceyNeil: Yeah these kickstarters take years to get from point A (funding) to B (Product).
Besides with how annoying it is i wouldn't put it past one of my mates to have done it on my behalf :P
You will be getting emails about it if you have signed up for the site. I don't think you have to have pledged to receive them.

On a side note, 30 Million funding goal has been reached. Outstanding I must say :)

$31 million now, and climbing.

Anybody need gas in-game? I own a MISC Starfarer now.

Regarding Kickstarter, I only get e-mails for the ones I backed. That being 'Pulsar: Lost Colony' and 'Long Dark'. And 'Mandate' in a few days.
Odd thing to ask, but the title of the thread is actually a Question. Wonder why this is still going? haha
Im still amazed at people paying large amounts for ships.....

I have a question
What was the original goal on the website, and how much on Kickstarter?.
What sort of work has been done on the project at this point?

Have a look for yourself. Very interesting stuff.

It is better you read up about the game yourself so you can see just how far it has come. Take particular notice of the Funding Goals and you will see some things that will be added (Side note, this game is still 2 years in development so not entirely finished yet)

Another video which I find quite good is a video from The Mighty Jingles. He has only just discovered the game as well.

Tuesday 11-26, wow.

It was an insane final day for the LTI holders and people just looking to participate in the 1st anniversary. I switched over to the Deluxe Hangar from Business, watched the livestream and got so much good information specifically on Squadron 42. That is going to be an amazing single player experience with storyline consequences.

Glad LTI is done, everyone needs a breather. We are all just backers now.

:o]
I'll miss trading LTI though : )

Was damned fun to help people out.
Looking forward to the Physical Based Rendering patch for the Hangar Modules and ships.
