KneeTheCap: I would actually like to hear from gog itself why they have rejected the games, and if they would reconsider them now.
Cointoss?

I would be quite interested in hearing an official reason also, as I believe some of winter wolves newer games especially would fit in well here. The dev has shown constant improvement and a willingness to listen to feedback and implement it

I can see no other logical explanation :D

KneeTheCap: [..]We have a pidgeon dating sim, for chrissakes. Why can't we have these?

phaolo: Probably because pidgeons don't have boobs XD

Anyway, isn't The Witcher series already a bit "ecchi" too?
Very apt second point there. This should be the last place to shun games with boobs given their own brand of games.

Also, if I'm not mistaken, even *if* that was an issue, I believe Loren actually has a setting to tone down armor nudity.

jack_norton: Hi all,
just wanted to clarify some things :)
1) I didn't offer my dating sims, since I don't think they would be a good fit for this site myself! I was more thinking about the RPGs.
2) I know that my RPGs have a lot of text/plot and focus a lot on romance, so can't be for all tastes. I am going to make some different games (RPGs and not) in future focused more on gameplay. For example my upcoming RPG ToA:Seasons Of The Wolf
3) About the prices, everyone has its own opinions about it. My games takes a lot of time to produce since have lot of writing and art. But of course you can disagree. In any case considering how frequent are the sales nowadays I think talking about the regular price doesn't make much sense, since you can get almost any game for under $10 if you wait only a few months ;)

So in summary I respect their decision, and of my games I think only the RPGs would sell here.
Thanks for showing up and interacting with the community here. Personally I like seeing new genres and diversity here at GOG. I'd probably try out one or two of your games if GOG accepted them.
Having the Pidgeon game here and not having Winter Wolves games here makes no sense to me.
Perhaps the pigeon game is so over-the-top absurd, it was sort of a "So awful it's good" kind of thing... while the rest of these are less appealing?

That's one plausible reason. The other one is that the game is published by Devolver with whom GOG has good business relationships (they distribute their movies too). From a business POV, it's unfortunate that GOG cuts itself from a pool of customers, there are other threads around asking for VN and WW games. Even the occidental VN from Moacube can't get through (Cinders and the upcoming Solstice).

If the Moacube VNs can't get through then there's no way WW will get through.. Moacube's VN's are far higher quality.

That sucks though, I really liked Cinders.

It makes perfect sense to me, since it's published by Devolver Digital (I guess the possibility of Hatoful Boyfriend being released here, would be close to zero if Devolver Digital wasn't involved).

It just really sucks when GOG turns down games that are good (at least I think they're good). But at least they're sold on steam. GOG doesn't want my money, it seems :)

You are always free to complain to them about their "boutique" approach. :P

Just FYI, most of the VN's are sold on dev websites through fastspring or bmtmicro so you get the game without drm (or just a serial key) and you support the dev with a 90% cut (compared to the 70% cut they get on steam).
I have not played any of their games, they come of as rush jobs by viewing gameplay videos of them, at least for me it does.

When a small dev team can push out a new game every month, I don't want to be flooded with low quality games, even if they are put together well.

Take some pride in your work, work on good art and animations and sounds and music and story and game mechanics.
