firstpastthepost: I really don't believe that GoG would require an invoice from the company for this function. That makes no sense whatsoever. Something tells me he's not telling the whole story on that cause no business that collects sales as a digital distributor functions that way.

I read the guys comments on discord and he comes across as incredibly whiny and a little out of touch with reality.
I agree that it doesn't make sense. Unfortunately GoG's track record on doing things that don't make sense or defying common sense is pretty terrible. The number of times GoG has made my jaw drop because of some of their business decisions is just... ugh.

Another user(as i said) told me that a cdpr staffer told them that CDPR and it's child companies are run less with a blanket corporate set of rules/guidelines and they more or less each work as they wish within the basic company framework.....that could be partially why some departments(like gog) are run so terrible.

I guess it's fair to assume the worst when you've been let down multiple times before, but there is usually some kind of logic behind what they do (usually being the operative word there) but because of how strange this claim is I have to assume something has been left out. From the guys other comments it's pretty clear he has an axe to grind with everyone, including Steam.

clarry: What the hell is GOG doing?

tremere110: Something about requiring invoices everytime you get paid where most stores will just deposit money into an account. I know GoG streamlined a bunch of stuff regarding their operations so maybe they made that easier too - but GoG has always been terrible at communicating with... well, anyone. Or GoG just sticks with some archaic method - neither would surprise me.
Didn't this come up before? Since the dev in that thread wasn't named it might be the same one.
Well, sending one invoice per month might suck if you make 1-2 sales per month...

I hope GOG at least allows you to invoice a bigger batch once or twice a year if that's the deal.

I had great fun with this one. Sad to see it going.

This is a disappointing trend, including Grandia 1 and the update not coming to GOG, and the Alien Shooter devs Sigma Team saying on Facebook that they aren't going to put anymore games on GOG either. :(

Ugh, why did games have to go digital. This sort of BS happens frequently, and not just on GOG.

Either something is really wrong with GOG, or (more likely) developers are really entitled. The Ooblets controversy made me lose all faith in indie developers to be rational, reasonable people, so I would assume this is a greedy dev problem, rather than a GOG problem.

Did Sigma Team say why no more games would come here?

It's weird because with Galaxy 2 being developed and Cyberpunk2077 bringing in new eyes to GOG, you'd think more devs would be interested in releasing here.

tfishell: What's the Ooblets controversy?
TL;DR: Ooblets pulls carpet and reveals Epic exclusivity, but in a particularly patronizing & insulting way. Tim Sweeny says, "That was very cool of them", pissing even more people off.
And it’s gone. Maybe it will return in the future in a revamped and definitive version. Cheers

Unfortunately it will never happen because on Discord the developer has made it clear that he doesn't want to have anything to do with GOG and he won't even release the sequel on GOG.

The developer made it pretty clear that he doesn't want to release it on Steam either. He views Steams refund policy as promoting piracy.

Yeah, the guy has rather... radical opinions.
