hercufles: if i install my pc again with 64 bit will i able to play the gog games here is it worth it too sacrifice 2 gig too still able to play the fantastic games here or can i install the 64 bit and have 6 gig of memory and still able to have fun with those fantastic gog games?
Arkose: All GOG releases are fully compatible with 64-bit as well as 32-bit. I use Windows 7 64-bit myself and I've had no problems with any GOG release. :)
Hi, I hope this is the right thread to post in. I recently upgraded my OS to Win7 from Vista, and in the process lost my GoG.com account password. I've gone through the password reset process, but the reset emails never get sent to my address (and yes, I have checked the spam folder). I've tried using the support contact form on the website, but I haven't gotten a response in more than 24 hours. I've got a few weeks holiday and I'd very much like to play The Witcher 2, so any help would be most appreciated.
I'm posting this using a dummy account that I just set up - the email address is valid, but the username for the account I need access to is chromeusagi.

The GOG support staff does not work weekends, so depending on when you actually sent in your request, it can take a lot longer than the normal 24-48 hours to get a response. This past weekend, the site did experience some problems, so that might have affected the sending of the password reset e-mail. If you have not gotten a response from GOG support, you might try the password reset one more time, it may work now.

My day was ok, although sadly lacking Witcher action. Tried the password reset again, and still no email. I've submitted another support request, but I'm guessing I won't hear back for another few hours at least - it's 6 or 7am over there, I think.
If I'd known that there was no support staff on the weekend I probably wouldn't have gotten quite so frustrated - perhaps that info should be put on the support page?

cheers all.
2 days ago, I went witcher 1 through. Couple sleepless nights. Good game that was. Hopefully I don't totally be disappointed by witcher 2. I propably start that in hard. But what I have tried, it's a different game. It's not always a bad thing.
Edit: Even the beginning in W2 makes some sense when you have played the first one. That game (witcher one) was not totally overhyped. =)
What's the latest on Win 7 64 Bit settings for Myst & Riven? Win 7 asks me to run in XP SP2 Mode, but a few other boards say that something around Win95 is better. I tried in both. It seemed to work better in Win95 then totally crashed back to the desktop. Do any additional settings have to be made re the audio and/or video options? Also, Riven doesn't seem to have the opening screen that gives the options to save and/or continue my games. Am I missing someting? It just does the first two logos screens and then lands me at a "Play Riven" screen that goes right into the game. When I quit it asks me if I want to save but, even when I answer "yes", all that happens is that it starts at that point next time I open the game. For me, saving at various levels is essential to gameplay, because sometimes you need to take a chance/ do an experiment. You need to be able to save at various levels and preserve your progress. I'm sure I remember that you could save multiple gaves in the Myst series. Can anyone fill me in on this stuff? Thanks...
You have better chance of quicker response in Myst section. If you look through the topics, some of your questions were asked already and may contain working solution.

I got tired of messing around and Added vista as a dual boot OS with 7. Totally solved everything. Thnk about duaL BOOT.
I joined Gog because I saw they had Red Baron and other flight sims updated for more modern systems. I've been waiting it seems like forever because I have a Windows 7 based system and I haven't found any good WW1 or WW2 flight sims that are Windows 7 compatable here. Has anyone found any of the flight sims here that actually work on Windows 7? I keep reading about compatiability problems so I am hesitant to buy any that are listed for up through just Vista. Also, does anyone know if there are any plans at GOG to upgrade any of the flight sims they have available so they will run consistantly on a Windows 7 system? I love GOG and have bought a few good games other than flight sims here, but I'm really waiting for a flight sim I can buy. Any help or suggestions would be much appreciated. Thanks!
