Glad to hear you guys are working on the Windows 7 Compatibility! Hope it works out. :)
Greetings--
Still having problems with HOMM3 not running on Windows 7 64x.
As I'd mentioned earlier it worked great in Vista on my old wide-screen laptop.
On this laptop, I get black bars on each side of the screen. I have adjust all available video settings to control for aspect ration, etc. & it just isn't working.
I really find the bars distracting to the point I won't play it , which is quite disappointing since it's one of my favorite games.
Any fixes and/or is any technically minded person able to give me more specific advice about settings?
Thank you---

Nope-it's a Windows 7 compatability question. Thanks anyway for the help :/

Still, post the same thing on the HoMM forum. Or at least check out that forum. :)
Am posting in frustration as my question about HoMM3 has been derailed. As I was saying, it worked great under Windows Vista on my old laptop but now isn't filling the screen (black bar on L & R side of screen) under Windows 7 64x.
I have also worked w. settings on the graphics card (aspect/ration etc) and would dearly appreciate some help. If there's something more technicially oriented that someone understands I' really appreciate your input.
BTW, yes I have ALREADY checked out HoMM3 forum as well as posted there; and have contacted Customer Service sometime ago (a couple of times on this, the last time no response)

No, you derailed the thread with your HoMM3 question. This isn't a thread for tech help -- you can find that in game forums as stated. You may have to be patient.
Unfortunately GOG support isn't the most responsive, at least lately. Though they do seem to have technical issues on that front, so perhaps they simply didn't receive your mail. You could try directing them to your thread via Twitter as they seem fairly responsive there.

Cross128: Commandoe's ammo pack has some small auido probs, a save and reload will fix this. and Flatout runs just fine from what I can tell. I'm on Win 7

FlatOut does indeed run great on Win 7 64-bit -- no issues at all (ATI 5730). Fun game, too!
Rainbow 6, Painkiller, Two Worlds, PG 3D Assualt, also.

They just need to fix the Games Explorer problems with it.
Guys, can you give us some update on this subject?

I hope thats not in Valve's or Blizzard's time.

Nope, judging from history, GOG is sensible.
I hope so. I am no backing off in buy from GOG because of the Incompatibility of Buried in Time with Win 7. See the BIT form for details.
BTW, how does this work? Does the GOG team go through each game and make make it compatible with Windows 7?
