It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

vv221: Well, that’s a way to answer. Or you could have done like me and linked him some article to show why this assertion is wrong.
Don’t you prefer when the discussion is constructive?

Elenarie: I think we have grown over the stupid days of the retarded browser wars.
Webkit is compatible with every popular web browsers and is quite simple to use. Also I don't car about this stupid browser wars nor your reply, I just gave my point of view :)

WebKit is an rendering engine. It is not compatible with Firefox nor Internet Explorer, and as of late nor with Chrome, since Chrome forked WebKit into their own rendering engine called Blink.

Also, it is a rendering engine. Are you aware what you're talking about?

Well, WebKit can’t be "compatible" with a browser. A browser is built on WebKit or another HTML rendering engine. Websites, not browsers, are compatible or not with WebKit.
Anyway, websites coded in "standard" HTML should be well rendered by *any* HTML rendering engine.

Firefox is a good example of popular browser that is not built on WebKit or a WebKit fork.

See, that’s what I was talking about: if you think your interlocutor is a fool or a troll, you can either try to throw him away or educate him (or ignore him of course). Your previous post just told him to go away, your last one shows him where he’s wrong.
I respect you for your last post, not for the previous one ;)

What actual developers say about lock-in: http://streamcomputing.eu/blog/2015-06-08/apple-metal-versus-vulkan-opencl-2-1
Yes, now also Apple is on the list of Me-too™ languages for OpenCL. We at StreamComputing can easily translate your code from and too Metal, but we would like it that you can put your investments in more important matters like improving the algorithms and performance.
That's exactly what I said above as well.

Amadren: I think it would be awesome to have 1 API for every platform (Like a simplified OpenGL). Like WebKit in web browsers.

Elenarie: Most retarded tech-wise thing said in 2015 so far.
Not enough castrati gamers in this world, I tell ya.

oh and thanks, apple-fan. you actually managed to make the linux-fan sound less obnoxious. would also recommend castration.

dirtyharry50: Because a lot can be lost in translation writing a textual reply, let me preference this by making clear I am joking with you...

shmerl: However this isn't a joke, and saying that lock-in is useful and doesn't add extra costs is simply silly and wrong.
Without even thinking about what you just said because I forget what you just said I am gonna tell you what my my former brother-in-law used to always tells his wife when she just wouldn't stop...

You're right. No, really. You're right.

He didn't care anymore. Let her be as right as she wants to be all day and night long.

That's how I feel now.

You're right. Really. You are just so right.
